How far footy boots have come since my day of dubbin clad shit kickers, booting the ball around my local park.
Craig Johnston's PIG to the new Adidas Copa Sense wouldn't look out of place in a NASA or Tesla lab.
I wonder what our forwards would do with the likes of them, aka Billy Boots

The real story here is Craig Johnston’s hair, surely?

Can't remember who it was now but exactly one of our players wore black boots against Villa. Was pathetically elated. Knight whoever it was

I was so shocked at reading this, that I had a look at some photos from the game... Maupay wore black boots, and it certainly appears he was our only player to do so.

Those pigs look awful.
They look like boots from the 80s with bits of a non-slip shower mat stuck on the front.
He did well with the predators back in the day but those pigs spikey bits look like your control of the spin will be quite random and could be nasty run down someone's leg.
The copas look like winners.
I can see the copas being effective at swerving the ball and they look really good.
The copas seem more like the modern predator.
I would go for the copas easily.

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Don’t know about that, but for those who specialise in taking penalties there’s always Gloucester Old Spot. :drink:

Then trotter way in celebration!

Remember when Johnston’s original predators hit the scene and there were loads of Sunday league cloggers rocking up in them and taking over free kick duties convinced they would bend it like Beckham

A few players in the Premier league have had their boot contracts cancelled so far in 2021 and they are are wearing plain black boots with no logos on. What a lovely sight that is!

I bought a pair of these for £ 1.05. They were guinea-pigs!

Wow, those Copa boots like they were carved from dark chocolate and dipped in gold. They’re an amazing bit of modern design.

Whether they’re any good as football boots, though...

As for the PIGs, they they look like mid-80s Reeboks crossed with those rubber thumbs bank clerks use when they’re counting money.

Should I invent a death ray capable of enslaving the world one of my early edicts will be that Adidas Copa Mondial will be the only football boots allowed.
I'll allow those women that created a special women's football boot to tweak them a bit though.
