She undoubtedly has a great voice, but it's not my cup of tea. But what put me off watching it was the 'audience' bit, a bunch of a-listers parachuted into prime seats, with stage managed guff between Adele and the selected cream in the stalls.

That's what makes this format so unique, watching celebs getting up and having an absolute hoot. Like I said earlier, when she did Rolling in the Deep they went absolutely bonkers.

Does anyone really get excited about the release of an Adele album? Yeah, she’s got a good voice. Personally I prefer the singer from London Grammar if we’re talking about great female voices.

I find these threads about music performers so predictable. The artist is either crap or brilliant or something in between. Music is a very personal taste. I am a big fan of Adele but I recognise others won't share that view. Unless you are important in the music indusry no one persons view is of greater value than anyone elses.

Hannah is bloody amazing, such a gorgeous, haunting voice, from Hey Now through to their sexcellent cover of Night Call from the film Drive and everything in between and since. Chatted to them for ages after their Brighton Dome gig a few years back, really humble, down to earth trio.

Apologies to her NSC fans, but this album release by Adele has been horrible.
The throng of a-listers and fellow millionaires pandering to her.
The incessant pushing of the album by the media.
The plain, safe, dinner party songs.
Music is better than this.
Hopefully there’ll be a Nirvana-esque backlash very soon.

The entire programme was poor. The bit with her English teacher was cringeworthy.

Excellent!
Yes, the first song I heard of theirs was the cover of Nightcall. Amazing video too. A brilliant band.

When she was any good

Not to my taste, but I don't criticise the musical taste of others. Each to their own. For me, she's a word mangler who waves her hands to paint the words, neither of which I enjoy. The guitarist on that track was no Peter Green either (was it Cradock?), but then Green set the standard. Equally though, I can see why fans love her music. Just not for me.

Isn't her entire new album about her divorce, and how she explained it to her young son ?

I mean f*cking hell. Imagine how many people will be cracking that open on Christmas night over a Baileys, and end up resorting to self-harming. I think I'd rather listen to the transcripts from the Nuremberg trials.
