I know a fan who went to all the Preistfield games, all the Withdean games and now can't get a ticket for the Amex now we're in the Prem, and yet I also know a Liverpool fan who had a season ticket whilst we were under Oscar Garcia, who stopped watching us because it was boring for him, but yet, at the end of last season got himself back a season ticket with us and is now watching the Albion living the dream.

Why didn't the club keep a record of the fans who were watching us at the Withdean and keeping this club alive? Why are all loyalty points only revolving around the Amex's history when it was the Withdean days which helped us get there plus the tickets weren't cheap considering we had to sometimes sit in the rain watching crap football?

A big shame really and goes to show that loyalty means nothing.

To be fair when we moved to the Amex anyone could have got a season ticket. Why did your friends not get a season ticket?

For each under 18 year old 2 adults can join them in the family stand. As long they are under 18 at the start of the season they can have their season ticket there. At the end of the last season of being under 18 they (child and associated adult tickets) are put on the seat transfer list and are transferred elsewhere in the ground. At most it is a couple of 100 seats to move each season so just gets accommodated with the usual end of season seat transfers that take place every year.

Cheers for info

So, these people moving from the family stand are automatically moved to the top of the waitlist? Whilst it may not be a problem right now, if we stay in the PL for another two or three seasons I can see a time when there aren't enough seats to move them to - as fewer and fewer ST holders are giving them up.

Why can't they? Tickets for every home game have been freely available either for people buying for themselves or for season ticket holders buying for a friend.

I can't see why anyone who wants to get to the Amex would have been unable to do so.

He moved away from the city due to circumstances more important than football. He returned last last June. Considering all the match tickets were on record at the club shop on Queens rd thanks to computers being used ( unlike at Gillingham)whilst we were at Withdean, it does seem a disappointing that none of that is kept on record other than the ones who bought season tickets in the final season but yet a Liverpool fan who never watcher or cared about the Albion in those days who only jumped back on the band wagon once it looked like promotion to the Prem looked very likely is considered a more loyal fan in terms of getting a season ticket.

Anyone who has a Bronze mambership can get a ticket to any game that they want (and get a fabulous tin full of tat as well). In fact I don't think there has been a game yet that hasn't gone on general sale to anyone with a purchase history (Liverpool might be the first). It may be more expensive per game but tickets are straightforward to get.

No, that is not the case at all. Extremely odd way of looking at it.

Those people are not on any 'waiting list'. They are current STH, in need of relocation if the club's rule dictate they can't stay where they are.

It's not a waiting list as such, it's the transfers list. What happens when there aren't enough transfers happening to accommodate them I have no idea but imagine so far it's not happened yet. Presumably out of the 23,000 season ticket holders there are each year at least a few 100 give up their tickets due to deaths or moving away or changes of circumstances. Others will want to move elsewhere in the stadium so there is usually enough churn at the end of each season to allow people to move. Really only the club ticket office will be able to tell you what would happen in the situation you've raised.

He wants a season tickets as it's a lot more affordable than it was at Withdean now you don't have to pay for it in a lump sum payment but can't get one as it looks like he has barely attended watching the Albion over the last 20 years. I'm sure many others thought the club would've kept the records of supporting fans at the Withdean who showed fantastic loyalty when the chips were down.

A season ticket has always been available to absolutely anyone to buy.

If he hasn't got one but wants one, it can only mean he has decided NOW is the time he wants one and didn't try before this season. Unfortunately he has timed that with the club being in the Premier League when a whole load of other people want one as well.

I am not complaining about a waiting list just asking what the procedure was
It sounds like you were complaining:
I suppose that is all part of us becoming a number to the club rather than a valued customer.
How exactly are we not being valued? Because the stewards don't remember the names of 30,000 people?

Be fair. He's not expecting them to know 30,000 names, is he? Only 4*.

*5, when Jack gets his ticket.
