Sorry Lofty!

Cox has to play on the right if he is going to progress. Swap over for spells during a game to give them something to think about, but he is a right midfielder.

Badly lacking on the left. Adams' stated requirement for PACE presumably puts the final nail in the Currie rumours?

Peoples opinions on here suggest that they think Coxy plays better on the right.

We can all just hope that this Currie thing just gets put to bed. We signed him for like 3 months, and he probably won't come back again.

Does the requirement for another keeper dissappear now that MA is back?
We've still only got Sullivan as back up.

Kuipers
Sullivan

Whing
Lynch
Elphick
Pearson
El-Abd?

We need at least one fullback, probably two, maybe even three, and possibly another centreback.

Cox
Robinson
Fogden
Fraser
Thompson
Chamberlain
Royce
Wills
Loft

I think Cox and Robinson are enough on the right, Cox can play left as well but we need a first choice there and a first choice central midfielder. I'm not sure where Royce and Wills play (or if they are any good).

Forster
Murray
Gatting
Dixon
Gargan
Louis

Great first choice, question marks over the rest.

So yeah, at least six are needed. I wonder which players aren't in the 12 or 13 Adams regards as first team players? ???

The 12 are highlighted [possibly Dixon instead of Gatts] the 'or 13' refers to El Abd.

That Peter leven has just turned down a new contract with Cheaterfield. Wilkins was keen but will Adams as he is from a lower league. Right midfielder...I think!

My take on it all....

1st Teamers
Kuipers
Whing
Lynch
Elphick
Cox
Thompson
Forster
Murray

Fringe Players
Robinson
Loft
Fraser
Gatting
Dixon

Presuming Hinshelwood is not going to be fit we need two left backs, a centre back and possibly a right back (depending on whether El-Abd signs). We need at least one central midfielder, probably two wide players and possibly a back up striker.

Sullivan
Pearson
Fodgen

I'm pretty sure he's a central midfielder. He was obviously a Wilkins target, but was he also someone Barry Lloyd liked and would recommend to Adams?

Albion chief Micky Adams is aiming to have sex with six new players with League One or Championship experience.

Areas he is targeting include rimers and utility players like the out-of-the closet Adam El-Abd.

Adams, outing his first team squad, revealed: "We have got probably 12 or 13 you would class as bi sexual with large members and I am hoping to add another six to them, not necessarily older guys but players that have experienced man on man love.

"We are looking at all areas and Dukes Mount is one I will be looking to strengthen our precense down there for sure. My teams generally like to get into the last third of the patch and get into the chocolate box.

"Within those 12 or 13 players we are still waiting on an answer from Adam El-Abd. That might be key because Adam can play for both sides.

"It could well be that we will bring in a couple of players that can play in a number of positions. When you are looking at smaller squads that is important at this level."

El-Abd is on holiday and Adams is yet to speak to him but he will honour the new deal offered to the Brighton-born powerhouse prior to his reappointment as manager at the expense of Dean Wilkins.

"The two-year deal is on the table for him and that hasn't changed since I got here," Adams said. "Obviously, I would like an answer sooner rather than later so that I can plan."

Adams believes Albion already possess some of the qualities which helped Swansea to the League One title. He will build his team around a formidable backbone provided by the likes of Michel Kuipers, Nicky Forster, Glenn Murray, Tommy Elphick and Joel Lynch.

"I saw most of the top teams in the division last year, including Swansea, and a lot of the attributes they had we have got here to a certain degree,î he said.

"They had a strong core through the middle of the pitch with the goalkeeper, two centre halves, Bodde in midfield and then the centre forwards that were scoring goals, Jason Scotland in particular. That spine was key to it all.

"We need a little bit of strengthening in a certain area through the spine of the team and a bit more strength in depth."
Dirty bastard that's gonna encourage them down here
