Adams vs McGhee

Dont agree with that question 100% but he does have a slight point - there has been a few clubs in a better postion, ground etc that have been looking for a new manager and none have sniffed aroung Mcghee.

We have absolutely no idea what informal contacts may have come his way over the past 3 seasons. We do know Dick Knight has been 100 per cent loyal to him - perhaps that might have been because he has demonstrated 100 per cent loyalty to us?

Lee Steele was a fat overweight drink driver, who spent most days in Burgeess Hill Mcdonalds.

He was barely over the limit and got the very minimum ban. He also scored a lot of goals for us and especially Orient. Fact is that once a player got in MA's doghouse they seldom got out.

Might add that he lived in Haywards Heath so why would he want to go to a dump like Bugs Hole ?

As there is a Mcdonalds there.
And so just because he was barley over the limit doesnt mean he ws a drink driver?

He also got sent of for the stiffs when needed - also wasnt it more Taylor thatdropped him than Adams?

Whilst at the momet has one of the worst win - games ratio?
Purely because, under him, we've mainly operated in nosebleed territory of the second tier, for a club of our current size and resources. If we'd have gone down in 2004-5 as the bookies expected, his win-loss record would now look much better with a load more League 1 wins under his belt.

Quite agree, so under McGhee, let's look at the results:

Highest finishing position in the league since 1991

First time we've spent two years in the second tier since 1989-1991

Massive surplus of transfer fees generated for the club in the region of £2.5m

30,000 fans at Cardiff

Every one of those superb achievements.

Are'nt we forgetting last season though? Did'nt we finish the season with the least amount of wins, and the lowest point's total out of any team in the Championship, League 1 and League 2?

That is true - we hope.

No Adams, but for whatever reason Taylor prefered that camel Webb to Steele. As it was he may be a convicted drink driver but what has that got to do with his ability, Where do you stand on Hinch then ? He was a bit lucky not to go inside. As it is I migt also ask how many people have driven the morning after the night before let alone when they know they are over the limit ?

Overall though, you're missing the point, Adams had his moments as much as the next manager.

So your saying he's not the right man to get this squad back up and stay up? And he'll only get more wins if we play basement football.

guess that makes it ok then :shootself

And you have never, ever driven over the limit under any circumstances ? Besides that had nothing to do with his performance as a player :jester:

It did because he was out on the razz more than he should have been as a player.

No, I'm suggesting we don't have the resources to compete anywhere else other than the bottom 8 of the Championship, and that no manager, Coppell, Taylor, Adams or McGhee, can really change that. McGhee takes the credit for keeping us up for one year, all the others either failed or ran away when presented with that job.

If he did something that deserves a prision sentence then he deserves it.

Although its beside the point having an accident and then leaving the scene has put people in jail before. I remember clearly a whole load people going mad and demanding that he was fired. As long as it doesn't affect his play frankly what a player does off the pitch in his own time is his business.

All the others moved on to better things because other clubs knew they were good managers. The fact MM is still here after being such a great manager as you suggest, just shows that people can see he is out of his depth.

As it should - very lucky boy.

Not really the same as drinking to much and not having the worlds greatest diet for a footballer.
