Whatever the rights and wronsg of his appointment, it is madness to suggest sacking him.

With the players we have, who could do better?

To answer your question, the Manager that managed the same players last season did and could do better.

For anyone that knows anything about Sport and coaching in general, the level that the team has achieved at home this season has been woeful. In pre season you could tell his style was different to last season and the results and performances at home are dreadful.

We know these same players can play better but the direction they are being given is what is worrying. The interview with MA after the game demonstrated why there is serious cause for concern and despite the blinkered view of many, the achievment this season will be to stay in this League.

You do realise Danny Wilson has got a job and is therefore not available to appoint? Also he has not been universally popular at the last few clubs he has managed at.

That's not true. When he was appointed I read a lot of comments from Leicester and Coventry fans saying they felt he was hard done by at their clubs and he had not been a manager since then until he returned to us.

100% agree that constantly changing Managers is not good for stability.

However the basis on which he was appointed is questionable at best and IMHO reflects poorly on the Board.

The rationale for him being here is to have us in the Championship by the end of next season and I think it more likely based on the evidence at Withdean so far we are more likely to drop down a league. Sadly he doesn't have the tactical ability, team selection ability, coaching ability or anything else to instill confidence and judging by his post match comments his philosophy is outdated and he is way past his use before date.

I was mystified as to why Wilkins was sacked - and thought it was vary harsh to say the least - but now Adams is here he needs to be given time to do the job. It's not going to help calling for his head after only 9 games of the season is it? OK he's made some questionable choices regarding which players to play, but I think he's still getting to know the players and their strengths / weaknesses. It's not just about finding a Zamora - it's about getting the players to gel his way. However, I think we need to see things heading the right way by Christmas
