On Stockport World, their manager said that McNulty was talking to a club with whom they previously agreed a fee and was likely to join that club on Monday. Obviously it's grabbing at straws, but i'm sure that we were the only club to have agreed a fee before he turned us down? Maybe we have gone back with improved personal terms

Oh well, here's hoping!

That sounds pretty definitive to me! I don't think anyone but us agreed a fee. I don't know why he'd change his mind though as before he didn't even want to talk to us.

Well as long as none of these "2 or 3 players" are loans then that will be great. If we can get 2 permament players in tomorrow we can spend the rest of this season pulling away from the drop zone and bedding in the new players.

Hopefully we will then only need to add a couple of players in the summer and be in a position to give it a real go next season.

I so hope that is true.

We will have quite an impressive side with strength in depth to potentially change a game from the bench - especially if Adams' new-found skill of making earlier substitutions is maintained
