Could this be Micky Adams poor mans equivalent of Alex Ferguson and United vs Oxford Cup game that saved Ferguson the sack?

Win and go on to avoid relegation comfortably and win a Wembley final or P45 tomorrow morning if we lose??

I don't think so.

We have been utter shite this season and Mr Knight must be secretly pulling out what little hair he has left, but i still think they would give him at least a couple more games to see if the window signings can turn it around.
Plus they would have to come up with the money to pay him off.

Even if we lose it isn't the end of the world. We should still give him a couple of games and see how it works out.

I think the cup match that saved Ferguson was v Forest at Old Trafford in 1990. You may be getting confused with the Oxford v Everton League Cup Tie that saved Howard Kendall in 1984. Unfortunately we weren't saved tonight. Oh, and hopefully MA will not keep his job either.

Before Christmas some people were saying that he should be given another half a dozen games, he was...they have gone and most of them were lost...another six defeats and you can get out the atlas and start planning trips to Accrington, Burton and Chester next season...it is as simple as ABC.
