Dunks very good but not irreplaceable in my opinion

I would agree. But why would this bloke, who I'd never heard of until now and doesn't seem to be linked to any other Prem teams, be as good as the guy who has captained the side and received an England cap?

He was linked to Villa.

Potter obviously has a plan.

His highlights clip looks like likes a mazy run , can ping balls about with either foot.

We don't know Dunks replacement.

Highlights clip has him attacking on the right fair bit.

I don't like the sound of this.

20million for a championship defender is mental and surely means Dunk or Duffy is gone. Either that or we're spending a large part of our budget, a club record fee, on a championship defender to add to Dunk or Duffy when that money could definitely be spent better on other parts of the team. The second option seems far too fantastical to be realistic. Surely? Surely.

Dunk out and this lad plus the Brentford striker in?

I'm starting to think that it might be Duffy who is the one to leave by the end of the window. Excellent defender but not quick and not great on the ball. You wouldn't mind any him defending out wide in a back 3, or receiving the ball all the time in the middle of a 3.

Not discounting that Dunk to Leicester might happen, but people forgetting we have another good CB who may not suit Potter's style.... Besides scoring a million goals from set pieces of course.

second top scorer last year, two against Birmingham... maybe we are moving him up front????

Not feeling this. Tho it makes Clarke look like bargain of the century.

Still can't see us selling Dunk unless he wants to go.

I don't know why everyone is getting their knickers in a twist over his price. If he is going to play in the first team then it's worth it.

This was my train of thought plus that would free up funds for a decent CM and RB.

£20m, as sickening as it sounds, is what it costs to get the best Championship players 2019.

He has been linked to a number of Prem clubs. Do some research if you can be bothered.
He was voted City's Player of the Year last year and is very highly rated as a ball playing CH. who can also play midfield.
At only 24 he is already an excellent player, just up Potter's street and has the potential to improve.
If we paid circa £20m plus add-ons and got £45m for Dunk, I reckon that would be a handy piece of business, enabling us to have a bit more dosh to strengthen wherever Potter deems necessary.
You can't always take one player's value to the team in isolation. You can sell one very highly valued player and purchase two highly valued players and increase the overall strength of the team.

Multiple England internationals and other excellent players have played in the Championship at some point. I.e. Jordan Ayew playing in the PL for Palace doesnt magically turn him into a better player than [insert reasonably decent Championship striker].

So we're paying £20+M for a bloke who's a back-up Championship central midfielder?
Get in.

Blimey TSB, are you for real?
I don't think I have ever seen you post something positive about the club you purport to support.
You must be a joy to live with!
