To be honest, I'd say essential rather than lovely. When we try to push forward, we're very susceptible to the counter. We want to push forward more, so unless we get some pace at the back, we're going to leak goals.
Of course I could be completely wrong, which wouldn't be a complete shock with my footballing pedigree.

I'm really not sure how I feel about this. If Dunk and Duffy are still with us this time next week I'll be excited. The last time we broke our club transfer record for a championship centre half we were top two all season...

No. Bloom doesn't get involved in them sort of things. he won't chuck money about.
At that price I'd bloody well hope he does make a seamless step up. That doesn't mean he'll be as good as Dunk though, I'm not expecting that.

Owen is saying around 18. Mings was 20. It's the going rate. He's obviously very highly regarded, City are gutted he is off.
