Been wondering that myself of late. Just where is Virgs now? I'm absolutely certain that he is a better player than either Carpenter or Jones.

He plays central defence and with Butters in good form, he will have to wait his turn. I think McGhee will like him. He's big and strong and has good potential.

A very useful reserve if we get injury to Butters or Cullip

I certainly agree that the LDV game would seem to be a good opportunity for McGhee to have a look at him.

High up on the South Downs.
Since Hinshelwood's dropping the defence has struggled. Butters' woeful lack of pace has been exposed. Hinsh should be brought back and it's time to give Virgo and Harding a chance.

He impressed last time in Division 2. I've started to get feeling that we need Blackwell back asap though because Butters is disapointing me. I can't my finger on what he's doing wrong though! Despite Virgo and Hinshelwood looking very promising our best back line is definitley Mayo, Blackwell, Cullip, Watson in my opinion and I think that's one of the best backlines in the league.

we aint gonna get blackwell back ASAP though Turkey! I'm sure McGhee will bring in someone but if we start winning games why bother? :D

oh my god, don't tell me people are back on Butters' case? i missed Peterborough but he hasn't been quite so impressive in the last few games.

After all the efforts I went to to save his career....

I know Crabby Wabby but we do need him back.

I'm not back on Butters case. I think he's done well and if he keeps getting the odd goal they're all important. The team just looks like its lost its shape.

only joking, I agree, he started like a legend, but the whole defence have disappointed recently.

We all knew Butters' lack of pace would be a problem against certain strikers. Speedy ones mainly.

Incidentally, did he win the PFA Fans player of the month thing? I've been out of town the last week or so.

Don't know, they haven't updated it yet. Butters was still top on the last day. I guess there'll be an anouncement later this week.
