Nice lad, Adam Virgo.

Still never really forgiven him or Kuipers, though, for their monumental cock-up at Luton, that cost us a day out at Wembley.

Probably time to let it go, to be honest!

True, though if we'd have got to Wembley then Slade probably wouldn't have come in when he did and we would have no doubt been playing League 2 football the following season. Would we have been such an attractive option for Gus shortly after that? Every cloud...

Lovely bloke. I met him more than once in the Hollingbury ( of all places ) he told me he was on 10 k a WEEK at Celtic and he barely kicked a ball for them.

Couldn't believe his luck.

I think that if he can overcome his injuries he could do a job in Div 1 or 2 but definitely the conference. If not could join Ian Chapman and Adam Hinshlewood at Burgess Hill.

Agree with the sentiments.
By the way,Hinsh is back managing Selsey for the second time.

The upside was that it meant Micky Adams left in time for us to get someone in to save us from the impending relegation we were nosediving into.

Good points, well made.

Adam, Michel, I hereby FORGIVE you.

I wonder what happened to Micky's "Random-Virgo-Position-Selectometer"?

Will only ever with Virgs well, especially in a week like this.

I still blame the ref for harshly sending Livermore off too...

Virgo is a legend. Scoring that goal against Swindon in the play offs with me sat next to my Swindon supporting boss was just fantastic. Seeing a company director reduced to a snivelling wreck was just priceless.
Met Virgs a few times, true gent.
