Ive often had some very harsh words to say about Mr El Abd but i thought he was absolutely superb yesterday.

I t good to see him back in his natrual position and also in what was probably our best central defensive pairing with Elphick last season.

My man of the match

well done Adam

He was a rock. At places like Millwall it's easy to be intimidated but El Abd was there and wouldn't be beaten.

Well 'ard!

Amen. :lolol:

Our squad is really poorly assembled, Hawkins is utterly pointless. Elphick, Hinshelwood, El-Abd, Virgo are the centre back, and then we've got another for the sake of draining the resources! Shocking.

El Abd - decent in defence, wank in midfield. I've been saying it for two years, why on earth does it take managers so long to realise?

I thought last season he looked ok in midfield! Well ok for Adam El Bad :lolol:

But this season in centre mid, he has been shit. He is a decent defender though, and hopefully yesterdays performance might remind people of his PROPER position on a football pitch.

Thank God, a thread that is actually about something on the pitch and not clueless theorising about board meetings, employer/employee discussions and character assassinations on people the poster doesn't know.

El-Abd superb as a 'get stuck in' midfielder......loves putting his boot in, doesn't mind getting hurt....but where he falls down is in his technical ability.......but we do need people like him in our side. Just to show the opposition that we can't be bossed........

Just my thoughts of coarse.........

Not quite! :jester:

Get rid of this IMBECILE now. I have always thought of him as nothing other than a shit footballer, who is basically a thug being asked to do a skilful job (which he is clearly not up to).

Apologies for the stalking. That other thread came up as a 'related thread' and I remembered the post at the top. :gimp: (Me, not you).

I bet I said that after he either a) played in central midfield or b) Carlisle away or Leeds at home when he had retarded days. Plus to be fair, as a technical footballer he is dreadful. But in defence in league one you don't have to be brilliant to get away with it :cough:Elphick:cough:

 I was being unfair. It was after 'wankergate', when he when nuts and abused the South Stand.
