Adam Al-abd being chased by Championship clubs

I think his agent is just upping the ante. Hope he stays

I sopke to a family friend last week who is related to AEA's agent and he said that he'd been offered deal but on the same cash as his existing contract. I won't go into amounts that were mentioned nor length of contract due to all that is going on. However it is tight and I would not be supprised if he could get a by far better offer.

He will only get paid what he is worth, and if not dunk on bench is adequate assuming we bring in Upson or another big name cb.

An absolutely top bloke. The only Brighton player I have met in day-to-day life and he was a total gent. I think he had a great season up until he was suspended and then never really made it back as a starting player.

I worry that we may lose him,as he must be about his future with us ,Upson was class, however ,against Palace at home,he looked vulnerable ....for the first time at home.

He'll have seen the package his mate Tommy Elphick got at Bournemouth, including a generous signing on fee, and must be tempted. Staying at the Albion his whole career means no signing on fee/no transfer cut.

We need to keep him as Upson looks unlikely to sign

Depends on who is manager amongst other things but I hold out more hope of him signing than Bridge although obviously I would like both to sign for us. Would sooner have El Abd as back up at the moment than Dunk although Dunk is obviously younger and has better future prospects.

Proved to be a championship player. Great servant. Hope he stays but hard to guarantee starting place so understandable. Would be a great addition for a mid table side

As we are SUCH big club...........that stinks of arrogance.

Good servant to the club, hope whoever comes in can give him another year or two.

Coz he is in no way good enough for such a MASSIVE club like ours? Where do you see us in 12 months time I wonder?

I've heard a European (don't know where in europe though) club have already offered him a good deal, so he may be off to the continent

He is the sort of player that would flop anywhere else I think. Gus made him a great player, it will be difficult for him to fit in anywhere else.

The fact he's only been offered a one year deal may be the reason for him stalling to see what else is available.

I would really be gutted to see him go though.

He has to decide what is best for him and his family. He may only have another 7 or 8 years left of his career , so if another club offers a 3 year deal it could be his last chance of earning good money. Sounds to me like his agent is hawking him around to see if we offer more than what is currently on the table.
