What I find astounding is how late people come back for the second half. I was at the end of an empty row in the North & people didn't start arriving back until 50 minutes was showing on the clock. What are they all doing?

I take it you think he is a prick?

Seems hard to argue though. Is it time to remind everyone he couldn't even spell his username right? I sit there until CMS has applauded us, and THEN I get up to go. I don't want CMS to look over to the East and have no-one appreciating his efforts. When he's good and done, I leave. I still get the same P bus as everyone else who has left early, so why the rush?

I'm reading this thread with some amazement at how feelings are running and just some observations if I may.
Lots of mentions of "seeing" them play, "watching" the match but very little of "supporting" the team.
It seems every-one is fully aware of the dreadful transport links.
So my question is...... Taking the above into account, are the people who left supporters or there to watch a game,
Ifvthere had been a floodlight failure putting the game back by say 30 minutes and it was 3 - 3 and we looked likely to score, would you have left with 30 minutes to go or would you have stayed to support the team to a victory?
You all know the situation so why did you go to watch part of a game, when you could have watched the whole game on tv.
You must know by now a game lasts 90 mins + so are you there to support your team or not?

Attitudes definitely seem to be hardening about the shortcomings of the transport links after evening games. Needs sorting urgently else the club can forget about any expansion of the ground.

6 of 1, half of the other all this.......I go to every home game and probably 70% of away games. I've left early before (if I've got a lift or if I am going out after) and I've stayed to the end. Who, really, gives a f***? Tonight we were the better team, created most of the chances but never finished them off. Still, they were up for it and it was a decent game bar the result, so......I stayed til the end and had a pie in the under hang waiting for the crowds to disperse. Does that make me less of a fan than when I left 3 minutes in to extra time 2 weeks ago? No. Done with this

Your missing the point alot of people have connecting trains they stop after a certain time, its not all about getting back to Brighton or Local areas people live further afield and if what happened as you say in your post then they would leave early or they simply wouldnt get home

We got a train at 10.45 both platforms were clear, so for the biggest crowd of the season things seem to have got cleared in a reasonable time. I think the transport problems are overblown. It was depressing seeing a large part of the crowd give up on the team when there was still something to play for in this game.

EVERY SINGLE "fan" who left upto 10 minutes early now, please feel disgusted with yourselves, 1-0 versus west ham and you are all heading for the exits, absolute f***ing joke.

Why does it matter so much to you what other people do? Are you watching the game or watching the crowd? For Goodness sake change the f*cking record.

I Love Brighton and Hove Albion. I have for 33 years.

I support them for 90 Minutes.

I leave early because I get home an hour earlier. Fact.

Should I give up my season ticket?

Is somebody a better fan than me, If they cheer Liverpool on to beat Brighton and they are a Brighton Season Ticket Holder, but stay to the final whistle every game?

I have to get a train to portslade and then drive to Swindon and be up at 5 am for work, so if I want to leave a few mins early I fukin will. At least I was there,,,
So you travelled from Swindon to see a game that you could have watched on sky - typical plastic eh.

I'm not surprised that some people had to leave early. I am surprised there are so many wankers on here moaning about it.

I have just got home in Hove. No after match beers just forty minutes waiting for the bus on driving rain. I left at the final whistle, after refusing to leave early with the Mrs.

Newer fans will not have the resolve of those who have been there, done that etc. At least not until the transport issues are addressed.

In reality, night games are a bloody pain in the ass at The Amex. For those who criticise from their armchair, just f**k off, or have the balls to say it to my face.

Sent from my wardrobe whilst watching Susannah Reid and Sian Williams enjoy a clam sandwich.

Me too. Pint in the bar and straight on a train - what's the big deal? Why should these so- called transport problems for evening games affect the increase in capacity. If it's that much of a ball ache and people don't go, then the 'problem' resolves itself. I was talking to a guy the other day who works on football matches 5 days a week all year round, all over the country. When I told him it can take an hour to get away, he was utterly nonplussed as to why anyone would think that's unusual. It's the same everywhere with a decent crowd. From my own experience of other grounds, I'd agree.

Absolutely agree with that, but most are saying it's just the time it takes to get home, or an early start the next day!
Another question then..... Had we scored v Liverpool and they didn't get a 2nd would extra time have been played in a half- empty stadium?
Honestly, I think not! Yes, some, the ones you talk about, would have had to, but the rest?.

Ofcouse people can leave when they want but so many going with 10 minutes left and only 1 down is a bit embarrassing especially when it is on tv.

This would have been a huge headache i believe there was an anouncement during that game or maybe it was another one telling fans that they would miss the last train, if it had gone to extra time then the club and fans would have had a major major issue on there hands.

People also saying it cleared really quickly tonight thats probably because the stadium was half empty before full time :/

Yep and what is worse is that if they let people park in east brighton then its problem solved, well almost. The trains need sorting and/or shuttle busses are needed to brighton station but three we go. Some on hear tho have their fingers in their ears and eyes shut to the problem

You're blaming people leaving a match early on Margaret Thatcher? Jesus wept, I've heard it all now.
