I suspect the OP and one or two contributors since haven't been entirely serious about Britain and France sending Aircraft Carriers across the Channel

So definitely nothing to do with the social media myth that we bought two aircraft carriers but forgot/couldn't afford planes?

Funnily enough the same reply last time someone mentioned the subject. What a coincidence!

No. The whole thread started as a joke about sending Aircraft Carriers to France FFS. I don't believe that the OP was in anyway serious and the thread has mostly carried on in the same vein. However, some people are obviously a little easily upset, but to give nickbrighton his due, he has explained his position. which anyone paying attention would have already known.

It seems to me a bit silly talking about sending aircraft carriers across the channel. Can't we just nuke them

It wasn't serious either

Although I'm disappointed it hasn't had a thumbs up from one or two on here :lolol:

Not read all of this thread, but the ridiculous rhetoric being exchanged over 30 fishing tugs that make up the square root of f all of french fishing income, which makes up the square root of f all squared is absolute madness.

Exactly. We should have gone for the Nukes, or what's the point in having them

They keep moving and polishing them under southwick hill whilst closing southwick tunnel weekly

The French army, or what remained of them, were amazing when fighting to protect our evacuation at Dunkirk. This always seems to be have been forgotten.

SHOREHAM BY SEA
The fishing boat caught in this storm departed from lovely Shoreham
An extract from an article in the DT

“When the captain of the Cornelis Gert Jan headed out from Shoreham early on Tuesday morning, he expected to spend five days catching scallops in the Channel before sailing home.”

One of my school mates, when we were 5, told me there was a tunnel connecting Easthill House, St Nicholas' Church and an underground nuclear thingy under Shoreham Harbour.

Mind you he also told me that his dad had titted off the Queen!

Lee Smith, if you are alive and well. I salute you

It needs a bit of recommissioning, but I know where it is.

They also helped the remaining British left behind, to cross the north of the country, from safe house to safe house, and get evacuated from Brest

Tension increases between countries when you leave the EU.

Who would have seen that coming!?

Ah but these are shellfish

Not nearly as shellfish as the politicians on both sides of the Channel, both seeking to make political gain from this.
The fishermen are just prawns in their shellfish battle - it's just clam and counter-clam.
