High up on the South Downs.
Unless I'm mistaken, there haven't been any posts from people who actually went to the game. Were they numbed by the experience or have they applied for political asylum up there?

Hemed's obviously new. Baldock I'm quite happy with. Under CH he looked pretty dangerous until he got injured and all he seems to need is a run of games and to play off a stronger parter. Colunga I just can't see being arsed and COG is terrible. If we're going to score the requisite number of goals then one or both has to ship out.

This - Colunga and COG need to moved out asap - simply a drain on wages

Middlesboro with no parachute money, lower gates than us are prepared to go £14million for Rhodes, if they can do this why are we messing around with the likes of Hemed and the other cheap options signed ?
Hemed may score 20 goals this season and we would of saved £13m signing anyone at this level is a gamble. Until we see Hemed perform in a league game its a bit harsh to right him off.

So what you are saying is if Mr Bloom isent prepared to bank roll that sort of transfer business he should sell up?

There is NO chance he will get even TEN goals this season, be out on LOAN by the New Year

I NEVER thought there would be the day when we had a WORSE chairman than Dick Tight and his LAPDOG but that day is here now Tony Bloom and his SHITZU Barber are that

I think most of us got back in the early hours of today due to delayed flights, trains, etc.

Other than the football a great trip (actually we were quite solid if not massively exciting in the first 45 minutes).

Unfortunately, the going price for a striker that has scored 20+ in a championship season is about £12m!

In August 2012, Jordan Rhodes became English football's most expensive player outside the top flight when he joined Blackburn Rovers for £8,000,000, equalling Blackburn's record transfer fee - Did that bring promotion? or even the play-offs for Blackburn?

Ross McCormack signed for Fulham on 8 July 2014. He was transferred for an £11,000,000 - How did Fulham do?

where as:
On 15 August 2011, Danny Ings signed for Championship side Burnley for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £1 million
On 31 July 2012, Sam (not good enough for the Albion) Vokes joined Championship side Burnley permanently signing a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £350k

How did these two do at Burnley, it can't have been any good judging by the size of their transfer fees, especially as there were other strikers who went for much higher fees because we all know, big fees = success

In the summer of 2014, 10 million pound striker Leo Ulloa left BHAFC. After finishing 6th in 2014, they finished 20th in 2015.

Whose to say we don't sell one or more for a similar amount as Ulloa?

Ulloa didn't cost us £10m when we brought him, so by the same logic he was a cheap (and therefore poorer) buy, just like our current line up is.

Maybe we need a time machine to know what we will sell or be able to sell at before some fans accept them or how about at least letting them play several games (together in Baldock and Hemeds case) first and in their right positions too before dismissing them if there isn't one close at hand.

Looking at another friendly this evening
Crawley 1 Reading 0.
There must be meltdown on Reading messageboards - even the DOOMED albion could beat Crawley.

It'll be a grim season at the MadJetSki.

Still, at least the Russian is hoovering up 55k per week. :lolol:

Quite a lot of attacking intent in first half and their keeper earned his testimonial money ( it did go to charity), with some good saves, a couple exceptional.

Thought Kayal in midfield and Colunga with Hemed, up front, instead of COG would have been a more skilful and attacking combination in the first half.

Kayal was only used in the second half, possibly to avoid him being kicked up into the air, due to his Celtic connections ( his every touch was booed).

KLL fell over a lot, so little width.

The Under-21 additions/substitutions all performed well; as the quality, depth and experience of that squad increases, the transition to the first team will be more achievable.
