We are off to see ABBA Voyage next week. Organised event through Seagull Travel. Anyone been ? Both love ABBA music and are really looking forward to it.

We saw it last year - loved it. If you are on the dance floor, I recommend getting a spot against the back wall - so much better to take the whole stage in from a bit of a distance.

Went earlier this year year, it was amazing. We stood, there was plenty of space for dancing and a really good view. Whole operation very slick. Travelled by train and it was so easy to get to, no issues.

Went a year or two ago, 4 Adults and 4 Children (8-12), everyone absolutely loved it and I'd go again in a heartbeat.

My Wife and daughter went said they had a ball. I dropped them off and picked them up which was easy. I spent the waiting time in the Westfield Casino just down the road.

I looked but the tickets seemed so expensive. Would be interested though.

Genuine question: do people not have any issue paying that much for a holographic gig? Had considered going last year, but once we looked at the ticket prices, no way could we justify it.

I paid £100 a ticket first time and £25 second time, though the seats were not as good as the first time.
It’s an event like no other I’ve been too, if you think it’s just a holographic gig save your money.
I’ve paid similar money for theatre and music gigs. It’s the price of going to an event these days.

To add they also have a live band and back up singers.

Has to be the blueprint for the future. Missed your favourite band first time round? No worries, see them again in their virtual prime. Oasis getting in there quick before the moment passes 😄
I see that a similar show is being developed for KISS in the states. Likely to be in Vegas.

I was going to mention the backing band. I don't know why they don't put on more shows per day, I'm guessing because of the live backing band, but it might enable a ticket price reduction. How did you get £25 tickets?

It is mostly a holographic gig but it's all based on weeks and weeks of motion capture of the band so it does feel pretty authentic and as already stated the live band and singers help. Had a great time on my visit. In any case, it's Abba music so what's not to like?

Just got lucky with an early release day, I would not recommend the seats though, to the side and high up, but as it was a second visit and the price was so good it seemed to good to turn down.

Our tickets were £27.50 but sounds like they are the ones high up on the side that were not recommended in this thread! But can’t complain for that price, we are going on a Friday next month. If I get up and dance, I think security will be asking me to sit down again pdq!
