Aaron Wilbraham

Although he shares some of Buckley's traits, namely a one dimensional and limited style with little tangible end product, I can see how his PL experience makes the two incomparable in some respects.

Perhaps he caught someone's eye at BHAFC the last time the two clubs met.

I do understand how such a prospective signing would come as somewhat of a disappointment following the spectacular and unexpected capture of Obika (still not sure how you pulled that one off) and the crushing disappointment of missing out on Grabban (underestimating the 'Bournemouth factor').

All part of being 'PL ready', surely?

I see the never been to Selhurst American fan who has zero knowledge of Crystal Palace other than BBS has piped up then.

When do we get your first anecdote about the WSU bogs?

Wilbraham looks like he'll never score a professional goal ever again, but he is the perfect man to bring on to close a game out. His touch is superb, he wins absolutely everything in the air, and he's a great target for a long ball up the pitch. He'll run into corners for 90 minutes and try his hardest every time he plays. He just won't score. Ever.

I legitimately think this would be a good signing for most Championship clubs.

Perhaps he's signing as a centre back....which is how you've described him.

That's pretty much what he is. A very good defensive striker :lolol:

If you had a pair of wingers like Zaha and Bolasie for us last season, he'd work really well for you. Cheer up, perhaps you're signing two upgrades in the wide positions as well?

Yeah, he really thrived with their service last year......how many goals did he score again?

I wasn't talking about Wilbraham thriving. He plays the same regardless of who else is on the pitch. He helps set things up for other players, and obviously having better players to set up results in more goals.

Come off it. If there was an article about Palace pinning their Premier League survival hopes on Billy Paynter or Calvin Andrew you'd be all over it!

The more I think about this, the more I reckon it's just a journalist ( perhaps on a hint from Prince Charming ) getting creative to construct a deal to get Buckley with the minimum cash outlay.

Hopefully Charming was laughed off the phone line :lolol:

Very prickly. Forget Selhurst, I'm quite confident that I've been to the Goldstone more times than the majority of your fellow Amex customers. However, that's another argument for another day when something else has upset your fragile demeanour.

I have, much like Wilbraham, also experienced numerous matches in the PL with my own team in person, again another distinction that separates me from yourself and your cohorts.

If this is true then sack whoever deals with transfers, we hardly ever score a goal and signing this Palace **** ain't going to improve things.

I'm surprised that as an American you didn't call it the EPL, well done you have obviously learnt something from following Palace via BBS.

When, and I doubt it will be ever, you actually come to these shores you may see Palace for what they really are.

Anyhow, I made a promise not to engage with Palace fans again on here, but you're not really a fan are you, just another redneck with a curious view on the world.
