Yep ASAP. As much as I love Ledley, I seriously think he should be consediring retirement. But then again, why would he? We're paying him 60k a week - to train with the youth (I think?) once a week, train with the first team once a week, and play 1 game every 3 weeks.:wozza:

Can we just lock Beckham and Lennon in a park for a month prior to the World Cup, and get Beckham to teach Lennon how to cross a ball? He would be World class if he could.

Agreed.

Jeez - it's frightening how good England could be - if all things come
together..........and we avoid injuries etc

Lennon is overrated. He doesn't have the crossing of a Beckham, Milner or Young or even me for that matter. He is slower than Walcott and doesn't work as hard or track back as well as Milner. Can't shoot like Wright Phillips and can't kick it with his left foot like Milner. Lennon is praised this season for skinning clueless left backs with his special trick of pushing the ball to his right foot routine and running after it. Stick him against the world's best left backs at the World Cup and he will be found out.

Now waiting for him to prove me wrong...

Have you actually seen him at all this season? Been more effective than any player you've mentioned, possibly barring Milner, and has got a pile of assists from his supposedly-dodgy crossing.

Err Lennon's final ball has been brilliant this season, I don't know why some of you are trotting out the 'no end product' cliche.

Lennon, on current form is by far the best right winger that we have so much so that I think he is certain for SA where the others are all possibles to fight out the other spot with Beckham. I do think Milner or Young will go as a left sided wide man.

Wow.

Where to start.... Lennon works his arse off most games and tracks back to help out the defence a hell of a lot more than walcott. He also has 8 assists which is on a parr with Milner and double the amount of young.

He has also got 3 goals which despite being one less than milner still isnt bad for a player with no end product.

Definitely. As long he stays fit and on form he's got to be a certain starter in South Africa.

Lennons form has been great this year, but also good to see Huddlestone developing
into a decent player, and depending on injuries to others may well find himself sat next
to Lennon on the flight to South Africa
