By the way - Molumby started for Ireland against Wales today.

Ireland have 7 players missing after a member of the squad tested positive.

Apparently it was a "non-essential" member of the travel party, and Connolly and Idah were accidentally sat within 2m on the plane, despite a seating plan being produced to ensure this wouldn't be the case. A complete balls up by someone.

Stephen Kenny has said that it looks like Connolly and Idah moved from their designated seats - this resulted in them sitting near the person who was tested.

I know but it doesn't seem worth carrying on with a game if a member of the traveling side has tested positive for COVID, especially if they have all traveled together on a plane.

This article also confirms that Connolly has been re-released by the Albion to rejoin the squad, which by deduction suggests he is NOT the unnamed player who has tested COVID positive and is quarantining.
