Yep. It doesn't make sense. We have multiple cover with two named cars. In the past the AA, if called out by Mrs T in her car, would clock the reg and do their bit. The same happened yesterday. They sent someone out but instead of asking where the car was they asked Mrs T to identify her location by pressing a button on her phone on the AA App. They then sent out an AA van - to out home address. Then they promised to be along in ten minutes. Then after 2 hours, when they did not turn up......Sorry but this bit doesn't make sense. Did you actually have joint cover? If you did you would have cover for you and someone you live with, as drivers or passengers in any vehicle. And would you not have been notified of any policy change?
