Anyone coming from the East on the A27 - just spoken to Balfours and they said the roadworks finished last night so the road will be open as normal.

The road i believe got closed off later than usual at 10.30 - i got there 15 minutes after that thanks to Brighton and Hove Buses not running any extra 25's from Falmer - lovely 45 minute wait to get on a bus. Home 30 minutes later.

Not at all. Throughout these roadworks, the A27 has been kept open eastbound between Beddingham roundabout and the turning to Ripe. There have been cones at Beddingham to get the message across that the through route to Polegate isn't available, but us locals have been able to drive past the cones and get unhindered access to Glynde, Firle and Ripe. That's a bit annoying if you're heading towards Ripe I imagine.

Travelling westbound would have been disruptive - but who in their right mind spends an evening in Polegate?
