Is this road closure all sorted now does anyone know please?, or do I need to go the Ringmer way for tomorrow night?

Thanks in advance.

I think its still there but don't know for sure - doing the train from Polegate again rather than drive to Lewes just in case

I ended up missing the dirty Leeds game last week. Left work in HH just after 5pm, drove back south via Ditchling only to hit a "road closed, roadworks" diversion just after the village, which sent me STRAIGHT into Hassocks - and into another roadworks traffic jam with a particularly spectacular 4-way temporary set of lights at the crossroads that took FOREVER to get through. Then of course by that time, the bottom end of the A23 was stuffed with all the additional traffic going eastbound on the A27 for the game. Eventually got home at 10 to 7, contemplated dashing for a train to get along to the game in an attempt to make kickoff (minus dinner), thought "fuk it", and went down the pub for it instead.

Clayton to Ditchling Road is closed for a few weeks. Not sure if you can get southbound through the village and up onto the road over the Beacon. A273 south through Hassocks is quite slow in the evenings with diverted traffic so the A23 might be quicker.

All done, I believe. I went east & west along there several times last night & there were no issues.

Its an arse. I'll just head straight for the A23 via the 272 for the forseeable. Means I go a bit out of my way, but I've learned my lesson. I am NOT missing tomorrows game against such MASSIVE opponents. Wednesday is our cup final.
