How can anybody get so angry over a car ?

It would seem this person was arrested at an expensive property, so insurance and money for repairs wouldn't be a problem.

Very strange, you would expect a person carrying a knife and doing this terrible crime would be more likely a CHAV type person from a rough area.

I thought that from the first reports of the arrest I read, but subsequent write-ups make it sound more like he was found in the woods adjoining the golf course (close to expensive houses) so he may not have resided in that area.

Ok if that's the case, I stand corrected, it probably was a chav type of person.

Echoing this.

My sincere hope is that the cowardly, murderous piece of filth who committed this devastating and pointless act spends every single one of his remaining days being systematically gang-raped by every diseased, deranged scumbag on his wing.

Interesting.

Nope. Look at Kenneth Noye, profoundly wealthy but a psychopath. Could be a similar sort of person?

It's insignificant, I appreciate, but I went out for a bike ride at 6 this morning and despite signs saying otherwise, the A24 is open again now. (My rides up to the downs take me right past where it happened).

I think it'd be nicer if this thread could focus on Don Lock rather than the individual responsible for his sad end.

Same with the Argus reports: loads of people referring to "scum" & wishing all shades of evil upon the perpetrator. I imagine that Don's family may read it, at least taking some small measure of comfort from the lovely tributes that proliferate, and then coming across posts like "****ing **** I hope he gets murdered in prison" in relation to the offender.

We all feel horror & revulsion about what's happened: can't help feeling there's a time & a place to express that though.

Sleep well, Don, from your BHAFC family x

Absolutely this.
My thoughts and heart goes out to Don Lock's family and friends. He was obviously a well loved and respected man who gave so much to his family and local community in so many ways throughout his life. Justice will be served on the individual responsible for this hideous act. But I am sure all of those who knew Don Lock would want him to be remembered for all the things he achieved throughout his life and not the actions of the man responsible for his death.
I hope the media leave his family and friends to grieve in private
Rest in peace.

That's some conclusions you've massively jumped to. Why not wait for the facts rather than make up stories about the tragedy?

Well put by you both.
I didn't know him, but R.I.P. Don Lock.
