Whatever the rights and wrongs of the Spurs tickets - I have one message for the people who phoned in and said they were thinking about not renewing their Season Tickets :-

SOD OFF THEN!

If missing out on a ticket for one game is enough to make you stop going then you don't deserve a Spurs Ticket and I'd rather your seat at Withdean went to a true Supporter.

I can understand you being pissed off - I can understand the ranting and raving. But if you are even considering not renewing because of this then I think you should have a long hard look at yourself.

Probably won't be a popular view but these muppets really annoyed me. The word is Supporter. And if one bad decision about ticketing allocation is enough to make you stop going to all games, can you call yourself that?

/me sits back and waits. ;)

Totally agree.

That first bloke should have been cut off after the first few seconds. Stroppy git.

What pissed me off about the phone-in was Ian Hart's claim to be "speaking for the fans" when he made it clear that he was backing those who were arguing for season ticket holders to get priority ("You must agree, Martin, they are the Club's life blood").

When NSC was polled on ticket priority for away games, by far the LARGEST number of votes went to first-come-first-served.

SECOND highest number of votes was for priority to go to people who went to most away games.

Priority for season ticket holders came THIRD, with only 20 per cent supporting that.

So, no Harty, you don't speak for the fans on this issue.

Which was why I sent in a text to the last phone in to say that as a season ticket holder I agreed with first come first served.
To be fair it was read out.

Kneon Light, I agree 8 points from 4 games over the holiday period is fantastic.

So by that last paragraph you're suggesting that some tin pot poll on NSC is the "voice of the fans"? 219 took part in that poll.
We've had many splinter groups over the years claiming to be the voice of the fans whether it be NSC, The supporters club, B.I.S.A. plus umpteen fanzines. The only way to get a true reflection of feeling is to stand at the gates of Withdean one Saturday with a clipboard. If anyone can be arsed?

Nope, I aint volunteering to do it Charlie! :nono:

Tottenham tickets are a bad example of FCFS as the Christmas post made it an unfair playing field.

No-one has claimed that 'NSC', 'the fanzines', or anyone else is the 'speaking for the fans'. Except Harty today. It is a brave person who can singularly claim to be able to do that, and they have to be able to back that claim up.

However, there is in existence a poll with the view of some fans on here, and this conflicts with Harty's assertations. So it's nice to know that the views of 219 fans are considered 'tin pot'.
