[Albion] A What If? team of players we tried to sign but didn't

Reckon we could make a decent squad out of players we've tried (according to reliable sources) to sign in recent years but didn't, for various reasons. Usually because they wanted release clauses or their clubs wanted stupid money, or we got gazumped by richer teams. Watching the Newcastle game made me think of Tino Livramento. I think this was when pretty much all the club websites ran off the same database and someone found a way you could get any player to have a profile page at any club by editing the web address.

Kanchelskis was "because he lived near East Grinstead"

Kanchelskis genuinely attended a game at Withdean. I saw him arrive in the car park as I left the Sportsman. Whether he was there cause we wanted to sign him or he was just attending a local football game I don't know. It certainly helped fuel the rumours tho.

isn't a bad half a team to start off with, is it? Granted, Nuñez is a bit of a loose cannon, VR is an unknown quantity, and Dewsbury-Hall's new role appears to be to keep the bench seats at the bridge warm on cold days, but you'd imagine we'd be competitive, wouldn't you? Also, it would give us the option of taking the Chelsea approach of just setting up as a one man team. Seems to be working OK for them, well at least it was until late December anyway.
