Yet some on here would still have us believe we're way behind 'Bumley' (who are always bottom of that particular chart) when it comes to playing dirty.

The image of the game was the late red card for Albion goalkeeper Robert Sánchez, punished by VAR for roaming and clipping Callum Wilson. Lewis Dunk donned the gloves and, sadly, didn’t have to face a shot, but in disciplinary terms it was business for usual for Brighton. Since they first appeared in the Premier League in 2017-18, no club has suffered as many sendings off as they have. A town that likes to shun red meat continues to attract red cards.

Without Googling how many can you name?

Right here goes, and not necessarily in the right order:

Knocky Vs Plucky
Duffy Vs Palace
Andone Vs Stains
Biss Vs Toon
Sanchez Vs Toon
Dunky Vs Plucky
Lamptey Vs Villa
Dunky Vs Wolves
Maupay Vs Wolves
Stephens Vs Cardiff
Knocky Vs Everton
White Vs Chelsea
Mooy Vs Villa

that's thirteen there if I counted correctly, and I'll kick myself when someone eventually fills in the blanks for me. also amazed at how a team that has been such a soft touch so often can accrue so many reds

Dunk vs Palace last season is one of them missing and Propper got sent off in our first season too, can't remember who against.

Stephens against Cardiff completes the list.

6 came under Hughton, so 9 have come since Potter took over.

17-18 - 2
18-19 - 4
19-20 - 2
20-21 - 6
21-22 - 1

What was the game that Maupay got sent off after the final whistle?

Probably a biased view but i cannot remember any for the sort of challenge that makes you wince .
Regarding yesterday at one point i remarked to my neighbour that Newcastle had 4 yellow cards to our none , stating " and i thought we were supposed to be bad discipline wise "
THAT WENT WELL !!

Perhaps some of those 'soft touches' are where teams are allowed by the referee to play against ten men? I wonder how many points those 15 red cards have cost us (although I realise yeserday's red saved us two points).

Now for a bonus point, how many were straight red cards and how many many were for second yellows.

I would argue that we are more careless than dirty.

A bit like Beryl Reed.
