Caravan of Love actually reached no 1 so was a bigger hit than Happy Hour.

Lets not forget

Flag day
sheep
Me and the farmer
build
five get over excited.

so not exactly one hit wonders

Oh well.

Perhaps I should have put it in the 'songs from your childhood' thread instead.

That website is absolutely pointless i am afraid.

Dexys' actually had two singles top the charts, Geno & Come on Eileen, as well as numerous other hits.

Dance Stance,
There there my dear,
show me,
celtic soul brothers,
jackie wilson said, etc.

Others artists on there have had numerous hits as well

Clue seems to be in the ad for "Billboard's Top 20" at the top as well as the .com address. These are USA's One Hit Wonders, not ours

Who the f*** compiled that chart?.Faith no more, dexys, big country....the list goes on.
Someone American by my reckoning

Fair play Cosmic.

Just had a quick glance at some of the names on the list, then gave up on it.

I presumed whoever posted it would have posted a link to UK one hit wonders as that is what the thread is about.

if the url is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8SwY9DgbLw

You take everything after the = and put inside the youtube mark up [yt][/yt]

So in this case:

[yt]z8SwY9DgbLw[/yt] gives you: (type it as it appears, I've fiddled with the mark ups to stop them working here)

If the link has the embedding bit on the end, simply delete everything from the & onwards.

Yep, it's Tomnorthi who seems to have used this list as gospel without noticing something was not right with it.

Anyways, here's my shout from when I was at school, with Headmaster named Gordon

If you're gonna have one hit wonder then have a classic, methinks.

This is one of my all time favourites and one of the loveliest songs ever ever written
[yt]25xggJXyWhI[/yt]

...or have a fantastic novelty record. Another of my faves and a great party record

Although it features Pete Doherty (who has has plenty of hits), this song was actually by Wolfman, who hasn't done a great deal chartwise and therefore counts for the purposes of this thread.
