Yadda yadda techno and headbangers - I love this big serving of overripe schmaltz: it’s a ludicrously catchy tune which deserves to be better known outside of its homeland. And the lyrics are a rare and sincere attempt in mainstream pop to explain the immigrant experience - you could argue that’s pretty necessary here and also in Germany these days, sadly.
