By far the best keeper in England, and apart from Casillas properly in the world, and still very young for a keeper.
Peter Schmeichel
Peter Shilton and
Petr Cech
Good shout. It is amazing to think how many good keepers we had in those days. Shilton and Clemence shared England duties which froze out the likes of the penalty king Paul Cooper and the equally brilliant Joe Corrigan. All four would have walked into the England side ever since David Seaman retired.Paul Cooper, very consistent performer and a penalty-saving expert. One of the greatest English goalies never to have played for his country. Would have been an automatic choice nowadays.
Hmmm, Cech pre-injury maybe. He's never been the same keeper since he's been wearing that headgear.
Gordon Banks was a PHENOMENON, he was the apex of brilliance.
