There’s 5 of us going ticketless, 2 are my son(10) and nephew (11) looking to find a nice bar, or fanzone…. boys are super excited and hoping they will enjoy the whole experience

Marseille was dead easy to find Albion fans, we were part of the late flight, cancelled train debacle to / from Montpellier and met a lovely chap that had to put up with me and my hungover mate for most of the day. Everyone naturally gravitated together. Some shared Ubers, others like us used our Del boy French to score free train tickets and go for an unplanned trip to Avignon and others found the French Megabus to Marseille.

I really enjoyed it going slightly wrong but not enough to miss the game. Created a sense of adventure, forced us all to get to know one another and all turned out alright in the end. You will have a good time in Amsterdam ticket or no ticket. I look forward to reading the stories. It's so much fun seeing us in Europe.

Couple of us will be on the 7.40am from Gatwick on the Thursday. No tickets, no hope of getting one, just gonna enjoy the day and the atmosphere with a wonderful (and probably very large) group of like minded ticketless Albion lovers.

Thinking we even have a 0.1% chance of getting tickets will be setting up for a disappointment so not even thinking about it!

Sticking around until Saturday afternoon, fly back, rest up for a few hours, then it's Sheffield United on the Sunday!!!

The dull part of the south coast
On the train back from Manchester, after the City game, I got chatting with two other Albion fans - a dad and his adult daughter. They just missed out on tix for Ajax but are going anyway for the experience. I told them that there were rumours of 10,000 Albion fans making the journey - with and without tickets. He reckoned there would only be a 1,000 or so out there without tickets. Having beaten Ajax at home, and with enthusiasm mounting, I just wonder what number of haves/have nots are going. Predictions anyone?

All of the ‘hardcore’ away following would have got tickets if they wanted them, so can’t see huge numbers going without tickets. 1,000 or so would be a good number.

10,000 made me chuckle. With those with tickets, we’d have more in Amsterdam than we had at the Amex after 85 mins on Thursday
Indeed. Anything between 500 and 1500 without, max. We’re not United or Rangers or another team I can’t mention in the same paragraph as “tickets” in case I offend someone,

Some of the numbers being bandied about are daft. We can’t sell Everton out but 12500+ are going to Amsterdam and 10,000 of them aren’t even going to the match
