Someone needs to come up with a better reason than 'ego' to explain why AK took the freekick then traditional 'lob into the keepers arms' corner.

Gross from the dead ball was by far our most threatening move.

Comfortably the best piece of pure skill by anyone on the pitch.

I'd have thought the corner was an attempt to put a goalkeeper making his PL debut under pressure. Sadly no-one attacked it.

Great ball, great player. Only second behind Bruno in the man of match ratings for me.

Because the positions suited a left footed player. I thought the free kick was fine, just needed a touch.
then traditional 'lob into the keepers arms' corner.
Because having practiced at training, Chris has decided Knocky is best at taking corners from the right.

God knows why. His delivery is far too inconsistent. Love Knocky, but there must be better options to get a decent ball in the box from a set piece. Can't afford to play to his ego this year

I guess Pascal must have missed that meeting as he was clearly most put out by AK pulling rank.

Although note to self, don't show your frustrations at AK in the family stand!!

Chris is in charge, Chris decides. Chris doesn't play to anyone's ego.

I didn't see that. And there is no rank.

Of course there is rank! There is at every club. Knocky sees himself as the main man, but if he wants it to stay that way he has to improve his consistency. Massive step up.

Dunk's ball to Knocky was genuinely world class. As the OP says, a thing of beauty. He was also my MoM, notwithstanding the OG.

There were two of those passesfrom Dunk. Absolutely sublime!

There were also two excellent ones from Gross in the first half.
