much tougher league this season than last, Hull, Watford, Palace and us were very average last season compared to the strength this season. We will see in our next 2 games how good we think we are. Mid table for me.

I'd love to say I think we'll be top 6, but realistically think we'll be 10th-12th

Whatever anyone says the whole club was shaken by what happened in the summer, and its going to take a while to stabilise.

Having said that, anything in this league is possible. Anyone can beat anyone, that's why it's so exciting, rather then the Prem where I could pretty much predict who will finish where at the start of the season.

Pretty much this. The Gus thing rocked the club. FFP is also affecting us and OG is still finding his feet (only last week he admitted he wasn't used to the Uk system of handling transfers. The poll question is about "my" targets so being ambitious I'd want promotion but having seen our start, key players being injured and the way the team is generally playing at the moment, I think realistically we are only a mid table team at the present.

The target has to be promotion, but with an acceptance that this is unlikely with a new man in charge, so a mid table finish would be fine.

If we don't go up, I reckon Leo will go next summer. He's going to be tough to replace. :(

The three relegated clubs, plus the cash backed Forest and Leicester to fill the top five places.

Albion, Watford, Bolton, Blackburn and Leeds fighting it out for sixth.

Champions, and I'll be a grand up.

If we lose to Reading and QPR then plummet in the market, make that 2 grand.

We certainly don't look as strong as last season in every way, but its early days new Manager etc so would like play offs but can't see it this season so will settle for 8-10th.
But would expect very large player investment next season and NOT all loans and freebies most of the time.

Target: play-offs
Settle for: attractive, entertaining football; no financial problems for the club; not relegated

I was going to post something very similar.

I know a lot of people were moaning about the Millwall match, but being a new STH in the South stand, behind where all the action was going on in the last 25 minutes or so, I had more "off the seat" moments in that time than I had done for years - and it was all helped by the proximity of the mainly good-natured but some moronic Millwall fans. It reminded me of what football is all about - for me at least.

What did you do to keep yourself entertained for the first 65 mins? :)

if we don't make the play offs it will be a big failure....especially after the noises the club have been making, attendances, and the costs of tickets, merchandise and food.

OG will prove to be the best manager this club has ever had.
We will take a little time to get going. Forget August and September. Beyond that, we will start eating teams alive. We will have two new loanees within the next two weeks and they will make us even stronger.
Top 8 in November, steady progress thereafter, established top six. Promoted with Forest and QPR.

OG the best manager this Club has ever had????, where on earth is your evidence to support that claim???? Maybe in time he will turn out to be a very good manager, but it's still ridiculously early days. After all, his record after our first five League games couldn't be any more average, two defeats, followed by two wins, and then a draw!

On the money. Unreasonable to surpass QPR, Forest, Reading, Wigan. But playoffs definatly attainable.
But at the end of the day I'm happy with comfortable mid table.
