Oh i wish that had Mcshane on the back
Hopefully, someone with half a brain may point out to the Palace announcer that it wasn't a very sensitive way to behave with a nervous 7 year old.
He may well reflect on it and learn from it. But I somehow doubt it.
It's the tiny things, both good and bad, that define a club.
In this case I'm sure the announcer doesn't give a sh*t and will continue with his rather limited DJ skills and bantz with the amazingly loyal home supporters.
...if kids and women can't take the bant they should stay at home...
Why don't you do it .
in front of twenty six thousand people,
What does that have to do with the topic?
Fans will be fans, I was embarassed by certain reactions to bangers and flares going off as it is something we have done ourselves.. though we have in my time supporting not rushed a turnstile at the expense of our own paying fans and inadvertently pinned the blame on our own stewards. I've been embarassed about many things, perhaps a bad example but 'poogate' was one, until of course the rumours about the real culprit were substantiated.
you could have just held your hands up and said "yea that was pretty cheap trying to bounce a gag off a 7 year old", but nope, you come on here and throw something completely unrelated back our way.
I understand this is a running gag with your lot but it still persists in baffling me, bearing in mind a good mate of mine is palace and cringes to the bone whenever these claims are made as you apparently suffer from bigger london club syndrome much more than we do down in Sussex (as your bumper PL crowds would suggest). Glass houses and all that.
Perhaps she is too young or dim to recall that we wore those shirts in the 3-0 win at Selhurst in 1981.
I daresay there are some chimneys to be swept and dinners for husbands to be made.
Look at the last six words of his post!
I would like to think he was intelligent enough to mean it as he posted it.

Psychologists call it Denial, Projection, and Displacement. It's generally used because of low self esteem.
In other words, there are Palace fans on here who are jealous.
We know that their Championship crowds were a lot lower than they get now, but of course they are all loyal Palace fans who have never drifted. So to make themselves feel better, they point the finger at the Withdean crowds and kid themselves that the Amex crowd only ever went to Withdean.
Low self esteem - but who could blame them being Palace fans?
Yet more whatabout-ery from Palace. How predictable.

It's low self esteem. They can't bear to read anything negative about their horrible club so rush in and point the finger.
Two or even three wrongs don't make a right.
Not just that - I understand that the basis of this 'bantz' is something Uncle Tony is quite sensitive about. He was rightly fuming about the Chelsea fan, in home seats, that started the whole 'Eden can I have your shirt' crap, and is the reason for the severe clamp-down on reselling tickets.
It might cheer you up to learn that a priceless opportunity to take the **** out of the small club dropped my way the other day when I was visiting the muddy field and collection of sheds that passes for their training ground on business. I bumped into Ian 'Moose' Abrahams, the self-styled legend of talkSPORT just as a clutch of Selhurst Barcelona no-marks including Puncheon, Townsend and Loftus-Cheek emerged into the watery Beckenham sunshine as it tried to force its way through the smoke still drifting across from burning locally-owned Croydon retail outlets.
In a rare moment of inspiration, I said: 'Hello, Moose. Blimey, I've never seen anyone famous here before.' Okay, there was a risk of inflating Moose's already gargantuan ego to bursting point. But it was worth it for the look on Puncheon's face.
Oh, you're back with your usual bollocks. Vandalism? The report says thousands of pounds worth of improvements had been made to the dump.Still no threads on the two flares thrown on the pitch or the vandalism ?
