The odd thing about it all was that nowadays it's usually firm versus firm. This Palace crew must have been thrown out at Burnley at half time. The fact that they got their mates up from Croydon was weird as it was a case of ordinary Brighton fans returning from a game quietly. We checked whether there were any of our "hard men" on the train and there weren't.

This thread is not anti-Palace as most of their fans are decent football supporters. The whole thing was strange.

They probably got lost and thought they had better come home

Totally agree Biskuit but there seems to be more and more of these idiots at Palace games these past 2 or 3 seasons, and this isn't an isolated incident i am afraid to say.
Holmesdale Block A and B Seems to be full off foul mouthed yobs these days and there is a good share that sit in the Old Stand also. Sorry to hear of this on an otherwise good away day out.

doesnt make sense though , why would they travel to euston when it wasnt even a ruck. Must of got false information.

Must admit the only problems I've come across on the train home have been from other Brighton fans acting like wankers.

Can't believe the albion fans took the abuse on the train. Surely any self respecting individual would not sit there and be called a ****. Some of our fans really need to grow some bollocks otherwise it will be like going to the theatre in years to come.

Utter utter bollocks.

'Grow some bollocks'!?? So it would have been tougher for me to lamp him instead of just sitting there, looking him straight in the eye, and saying 'we're not into aggro'.

He got really wound up because I wouldn't bite. That's more satisfying than hitting the twat.

I'm not getting a potential black eye, or worse, for some complete Palace meathead to have his nanosecond of glory.

Just because I didn't rise to the bait doesn't make me less passionate. What f***ing rubbish.

If that makes me a wimp in your ever-so-tough-guy's eyes then so be it.

I think I did the right thing.

Six Palace hooligans left Burnley early and boarded the train which reached Crewe at 18-32. Within minutes of leaving Crewe, one of them was heard on his mobile boasting that there were Brighton fans on the train "giving it large". In fact there was one respectable group of supporters and a number of GDC who included a couple of old age pensioners.

As the train neared London the Palace scrotes started to threaten the Albion fans. They had phoned their mates who made the long journey from East Chavdon to Euston to provide a reception commitee. The GDC were given a stirring pep talk by the Laird of Worthing.

At Euston as the Albion fans left the train there was a massed charge of 20 Palace thugs down the platform. Surreally, the Palace crew(who were charging at a handful of non-hooligan Albion and a sprinkling of London based Man City fans) were stopped in their tracks by the sudden appearance of at least thirty transport police who meticulously rounded up the bizarre collection of Croydon chavs.

You got run, then.

We were on the train an hour earlier so missed the Palace Scum life that some had the misfortune to bump into. The only other fans on our train were some very very very drunk and very very very happy Man United season ticket holders retunring from Anfield. I think they would have given the GDC a run for the money on alcohol consumed on the train back, they had 2 tables totally invisible under cans and bottles.

Saw a few london based Hull fans on the way up (they were going to Coventry) and also a few Sunderland London heading to West Brom.

If the hoolis want to have a pop at each other fine with me, just leave those of us that like a laugh and a few beers out of it!

I am starting to think Palace have got a nasty crop of fans cropping up, I have read one or 2 disturbing stories about them lately, and it will tarnish our otherwise family orientated support.
