This is the kind of response I was referring to. I'm not sure why you think things are going to ge better, there isn't really any evidence to suggest this.

Yes there is.

We now have options upfront when Murray is unable to play.

We have in Jarrett someone who can win tackles in the middle of the park and put his foot on it and look up. I'd like to see him get forward more, but that's another story. Birchall and Livermore should strengthen that midfield up a treat now too and add some more creativity, especially as we have McNulty in to free Livermore up from the LB position.

If we can just keep Virgo at CB ( surely MA has less opportunity to play Virgo out of positon now that we have the new signings ) where he belongs and get some communication going in defence then we should stop leaking goals.

I agree that MA has played far too many players out of position for far too long. For the record ( I can't be arsed to find the posts from the time ) I think Wilkins was treated shoddily by the club if half the stories are true, and I'd also be quite happy if we still had Wilkins in charge. But we can only work with what we have now and move forward. There is no sense in keep looking back as it doesn't help in any way shape or form.

Let's give the new signings more than just two games to start gelling and see where we go form there, eh ?

Sorry but your arguments do not seem to be based on facts, but on some sort of strange bias against Wilkins. Most of the posters expressing that Adams should go, actually like the bloke but can plainly see he is struggling, as the standard of football & league position show.

I can see that things aren't good, I never said they were. But I was asked about my opinion on giving Wilkins longer and based on what I saw over two years I didn't rate him as a great manager, and I have been consistent with that view. I know we finished 7th, but only to a certain degree does that reflect the true representation of the team and management, I feel we over achieved and whether Wilkins had 1 year or 3 year I still don't think he was the right man. I'm not so blinded by Adams that I refuse to see he has made mistakes, there's no getting away from that, but my point is, if you appoint a manager you should stick with it for a longer period of 6 months.

To be fair to EFE she has only given her opinion on wilkins, which seemed to be quite a common onewhen Wilkins was in charge . Wilkins has become a martyr, and people seem to have forgotton the amount of stick he was getting every week, probably from some of the same people who give Adams stick.
I rated him and thought we played some very nice looking, passing football, but there always seemed to be somthing missing to make us into promotion contenders. People go on about finishing 7th, but we only just managed to scrape that with a good run at the end of the season.

Thank you and true, people seem to forget the view of Wilkins last season. He got so much stick, people didn't think he was a great manager but somehow now that has completely changed, because all they remember is he got us to '7th'. All I've done is remained consistent with what I thought. Like you say, the team we had last year certainly weren't promotion contenders, in fact it was weak.

I agree with that.

White is blaming the players. Why dont they own up that they are to blame. The coaching is abysmal and Adams has had far more money to spend than Wilkins. If they dont go now, things won't turn around I'm afraid. We have'nt got time we need results NOW.
