The same thought crossed my mind too, but the situation was so different back then. Decent, experienced manager with a good stock of signings of the required quality to make a good team. Although, it isn't Wendy's fault he can't do the same. We are going to struggle this season. There is no doubt about that.

the positive was a large chunk of the whole game suprisingly enough , just felt Wilkins left it abit late to go for the killer instinct and throw Nathan and Reidy on personally

not going to harp on about how we were hard done by by the ref (everyone else has said everything on that level i expect) but the bright spots are definitely there, the midfield problem isn't as bad as i expected it to be (although i still think we need at least one) other then that , given what we had to play against - not to bad, at least we fought for it

We played a lot better at Crewe than we did at Roots Hall that day.

We played Crewe off the park for large parts of the game and were it not for a couple of shocking decisions could have got all 3 points. I agree that the midfield is our weakest area but there were a lot of positives from yesterday's game.

With a decent ref we might have won 3-1. Our luck must change, keep the faith.
