Would Jennys even register if the Albion had not gone to Withdean? I went out with a girl who lived on Preston Drove in the early nineties and always thought it was f***ing shit from then on. I was spoilt perhaps by being properly from the coast and not an inlander.

I know the place it is near that good pie shop. Is the fish good as well as the fish and chip shops in Haywards Heath are expensive and rank. Answer to your question is no just suggest they sell a decent bitter.
Recently went up to see Joe Brown at The Fairfield Hall and met my brother in London as he took us to a fish restaurant in Ladbroke Grove, expensive but absolutely brilliant Skate and Chips.

What is the chippy like at Withdean going from the ground to Dyke Road on the left have often passed by but never gone in and it always seems empty even after a game.

Pretty good fish, actually.
I particularly like their fish platter for two (no, not for me alone). Four pieces of fish - cod, huss, plaice and haddock (with a choice of having them oven-baked, poached, or battered and deep-fried) and two portions of chips for £12.00. And each piece is done rather well.
This is all sit-down meal prices.
Highly recommended.

In terms of quantity, a large portion of chips from the Seahorse on Blatchington Road has to been seen to be believed. It it humungus.

I bought burger and chips up Withdean the other day, and got the burger and half a tray of chips, while people buying just chips got the full tray...

Bardsley's Friday Night - cod & chips and a bottle of Harveys for under a tenner.
Classy.
Is the one and only. Shame it got done up which seems a wierd thing to say. Great owner, great service, wonderful menu, even for veggies like me. Really is the best.

Had chips from Bardsley's tonight to celebrate chip week. Topped off with Mushy peas, a battered veggie burger and some tomatoe ketchup.
I am now stuffed but content, and pleased to say the chips were fantastic.
