That should be a corner, not a goal. Funny though!

I wondered that but I think that it counts because the ball left the area - if it hadn't, I think the goal kick should be taken again. I'm not sure though, is there a ref who could clarify?

LAW 16 – THE GOAL KICK

A goal may be scored directly from a goal kick, but only against the opposing
team.
Funnily though, it doesn't state what should be given in this case.

ive had similar - playing away at saltdean in the snow, took a goal kick that blew behind for a corner. having got to 0-0 at half time, we thought that playing into the wind in the second half would see us romp to victory. emerge from the chaning rooms, bright sunshine and no wind. we drew 0-0

wasnt best pleased

Hahaha that nearly happened to me when I played for Seagulls a few years back.

If the ball goes out the area and then blows back into the net then a corner should be awarded. I'm 99% sure of it.

In the 60's & early 70's when I was playing Sussex Sunday League there was a pitch at the top of Wilsons Ave., on the right just before the race track crossing. If you were unlucky enough to have an evening mid-week game on this pitch it was impossible to look westward and see! Hapless keeper was I when the ball sailed past whilst I was blinded by the low sun setting! Don't think the pitch is there now - is it?
