You truely believe that the police are whiter than white ??? Have you not seen how police sometimes treat football fans ? They consider us scum, ripe for a kicking ( a direct quote from a Croydon copper ) - what makes you think they wouldn't treat us the same online ?

Well they'd be right in your case wouldn't they - you've given all the evidence required to reach such a conclusion via this thread. In the spirit of reconcilliation, I'm only going to attach a jester smile. :jester:But really, I'd love to see you as the 1st moron banned permanently for treating Bozza's warning (less than 24hrs old!) so contemptuously.

Personnally I would rather the police spent more time on the streets protecting the public with a high visability presence, or responding to burglaries in a more timely manner, than channelling manpower and time into moderating the internet.

Clearly their budget is far too big at a time when cuts need to be made...

They have a duty to investigate all complaints. And lets face it, that's a lot easier to do using a search engine than on the street if people are stupid enough to use racist language deemed illegal? Still a complaint, just an easier one to resolve.

Since when did NSC have authority over the Police in respect of administering punishment for breaking the laws of the country?

What if someone on here admitted to being a paedophile and gave a full account of what they had done to a child. Would NSC merely lock the thread and give him a ban or should it do something more positive?

As good as it is, and generally as well run as it is, NSC and it's posters are, and never should be, above the law.

If someone did that then it would be reported. However the post in question did not come within a million miles of something of that nature.

Can we drop this all now please.

If anyone has any points to raise on NSC's moderating line and what is acceptable and otherwise then please come to me directly via PM or email. I will reply when I get the chance.
