I'm a big fan of this nickname for Parish, although it does rather ignore the fact that our own noble leader has a bit of a honk on him as well. Overlooked as his height is the easier target I suspect.

I do wonder about Beaky’s management style. I get the impression that he is surrounded by yes men. And something else, the older and more gaunt he gets, the more he looks like the Palace mascot (RIP).

I always recall this particular clip when imagining old Beaky being placated by his staff.

I’d have said it’s most of the Isle of Sheppey then.....

The WHOLE of that horrible coast is infected with tatooed scumbags, sadly I have to do work there and will be in lovely Sittingbourne next week. When not in the Factory I will be in my car, with the doors locked... :lolol:

Blimey, wouldn't want to work this out.

Stadium location?

Fan location?

Vulnerable?

In a group.....some in East, some in West.

Games you've selected to miss.

Positive tests after being selected.

5 minute job.

Excellent points - added to which there has yet been no decision when (for instance) Brighton v Southampton would kick off. Friday night, Saturday lunchtime until evening, Sunday ditto, Monday night ??? How can lucky ballot winners expect to keep their lives on hold until all these criteria are known. Best option - don't start this nightmare health lottery until everything is properly in place - rushing it through so that 4000 people can squeeze in doesn't make sense to me.

Is the Southampton game not the Monday night ? I'm convinced Paul Barber said that on TalkSport earlier that the earliest game was a fixture against Southampton on the Monday night ???

Thanks that’s really helpful....gives the club a bit more time to sort out the ticketing.

Ps hopefully not 5.30!

Thats what I was thinking, be totally unfair to run a ballot and potential automatically charge people for a game that is impossible for many to attend with little time to resell on the exchange

The club have already announced how the tickets will be allocated. Its a draw pure and simple. No "fair" way of doing this, someone is always going to upset at how its done.

The fairest way to to it would be on a rotational basis. Assuming 20k ST holders of which 20% can't/don't wish to attend and 14 home games that would mean on average each ST holder could attend 3 or 4 games.

Even if half the tickets end up on the exchange they’ll sell pretty much immediately with 20,000 STHs being unsuccessful in the ballot......

Is there not an option to opt out of the ballot for a certain number of games?

It seems to matter which tier B&H are put in . Will supporters from tier three areas be allowed in ? if not how will that be policed ?
For example. My children, two have season tickets with my home address. One is at uni where covid is rife and one lives/works outskirts of London.

WE won`t be going and will not want to be in ballot.......others may be less sensible !!!

Just for everyone's info;

I spoke to Supporter Services this morning (really friendly and helpful) about a ballot grouping query - was told that if we are in Tier 1 or 2, there WILL be fans at the Southampton game, barring any large unexpected issues.

Like Paul Barber said on the radio, fans need to take some responsibility for themselves and make the right decision. If someone is currently living in a Tier 3 area then we need to expect that they know they cannot go or travel and should not. And of course the club could prevent sale of tickets or ballot for those in areas. But given how fluid that is, I'm not sure how easy it would be

On the zoom meeting , Barber addressed the various ways of balloting to allocate tickets. He said that they had looked into numerous scenarios and basically decided there simply wasn't a fair way of doing it, considering they have no idea of the number of games, the number of fans etc

They decided the the least bad way was simply to hold a ballot for the number of tickets allowed for each game, allow 6 opt outs , and also allow the ticket exchange.

On the assumption that vastly more would want to go than the number of tickets, it was felt that anyone who was lucky enough to get allocated enough tickets for games they didnt want and so had used up the opt outs, would in all probability be able to sell them on exchange

That’s fine and your choice but suggesting others who go are not sensible is a bit much.

Each person manages their own risk and for me I am home working at home all week barely leave the house, have my shopping delivered, have not visited restaurants or pubs when we could but I will be looking to go to the football again if the opportunity arrives.

The reasons being I went to the test event against Chelsea and the club delivered a very smooth and safe experience and I trust them to do the same for any future games, the second being if I do not do something that feels a bit normal soon I am going to go stir crazy.

I`m suggesting that some who are from covid rife areas may go !! which I`m sure you will agree is not sensible !! I to went to the Chelsea game and felt all was good .

This assumption is probably broadly right, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few (100+) supporters who are too half arsed to put them on the exchange. You only have to look round the stadium on match days where it is "sold out" to see that lots don't bother. I guess they don't need the money or decide too late not to go?

I hope I'm wrong but I'm not sure this is the best way to maximise full attendance of the 2,000 or 4,000 which surely is the priority.

However we all could all come up with 20 ways of doing this that we might feel is fairer or more practical but the club have assessed what they can achieve given their timescales, systems, staffing etc. It is almost pointless any of us thinking we could do better when we don't know any of these parameters and restrictions.

Having initially been angry and disappointed I've just resigned myself to this season being a non event, any games I get to go to being a bonus, and looking forward to next season when hopefully things will be closer to normal.

It was taken from WhatsApp which isn’t on iPad so taking a photo of phone seemed the easiest way of putting it on NSC via iPad.

Fair enough, you could have sent it to yourself via I message. just made me chuckle, its what my Dad used to do until I mentioned the screen shot function.
