When the OP said " massive " I immediately thought of Buster Bloodvessel and Bad Manners !
Wow
Brilliant
£150 a ticket to watch an extended version of Invisible Touch
Now if Gabriel and Hackett were involved it might be at least worth of consideration
My first ever gig, Genesis Brighton Dome, 1973. Foxtrot tour. Tickets 70p
I think the support was String Driven Thing, with Graham Smith on violin, later a member of Peter Hammill's touring band.
Genesis turned from interesting prog rock band to dreary faux prog rock band for dreary middle class tory voting students from Hemel Hempstead (I knew one) after Gabriel left and the drummer decided to be the singer.
A matter of opinion , for me their best albums were from the mid- late 70s
£150 and the rest.
Before fees the O2 at North Greenwich are £187.25 for floor seated and level 1A, £150 is for level 4A or a bargain £88 if you don't suffer from vertigo and sit in the gods,
As you say without Gabriel and Hackett it's not really news, but just a financial decision to boost their pension pots.
£211.20 for floor seats I make it out to be inc transactions and processing fees, quite steep but then again this is Genesis.
The main problem would be as always
He’s a ****
Several years ago when we were on a bus on the Isle of Mull heading to the Iona ferry, we passed his house. The driver made an announcement as we were passing then said, (words to the effect) "I'm not suggesting he's unpopular with locals, but you will find very few islanders who like him."
To be honest, if you want to hear the best of genesis, I recommend 100% Steve Hackett and his band...he is doing the seconds out tour this year and last year was selling england tour...absolutely brilliant.
Agreed! Saw him last November at the Brighton Dome, bloody brilliant. Got tickets for this year as well.
Where are you seeing these prices?
Quoted prices of £187.25 for floor seats on ticketmaster plus 10% typical transaction fee and £4.95 fulfillment/processing fee.
Being revealed on the Zoe Ball breakfast show on BBC R2 tomorrow morning.
ohmy:
Any ideas who it could be?
