[Albion] A lot of football hooligan gear yesterday, what gives?!

Nothing wrong with wearing nice clothes to a football match.

Quite right. I often wear my finest clothes to the football. They are from a specialist Italian designer who works for a large scale boutique retailer pronounced "Ge-Or-Gay" albeit the labels in the back always say "George from ASDA"

You obviously don’t get it. The reason why working class lads wear the top clobber is deep rooted a kick back at society. As a 13 year old I saved my paper round money for ages to buy my first Lacoste T. Personally I dropped SI in then early 90’s when it became to mainstream used to be an excellent label. If your not into your clothing then fair enough I have a dislike for these looking down type of threads from the man from Primark.

I love clothes but a lot of so called designer brands except for couture are not a lot different to what you buy on shops like m and s just a different label . More fool the people paying well over the odds for it .

Brighton factually.....
Now't wrong with it, some of it is smart and looks good, not my bag, but I can appreciate it.
Teddyboys, Mods all dressed smart, even skinheads, then the casuals which were a progression of the mod look. Don't see the problem.
It has more to do with fashion that hooliganism, judging anyone on what they wear is a very dated and tory way to look at people.

Clothes are good. They keep you warm.

Other than that, not too exciting. People can wear what they want. If someone wants to buy a shirt at 10x the price because there is a certain label on it, let them.

I would disagree you are paying for top quality fabrics and workmanship depending on how high end you want to go.

I have a Moncler winter jacket I bought in the early 90’s looks great keeps me toasty warm and still in immaculate condition after all these years.

Wouldn't buy anything from Fat Ashley’s stores.

You're right, I didn't realise Flannels is owned by Ashley's group. I wouldn't buy anything in there, but we should expect a lot more football fancy dress now that this store is in Brighton...

The difference is P G is on about £8m a year at city , it doesn’t matter to him if he spends £150
on a T-shirt . He will still live like a king . Ie 15,000 sq ft house , house keeper , private chef, chauffeur driven merc etc

I’m not sure why you have mentioned this as it’s got nothing to do with the point I was making.
The OP said PG removes the S I badge from his clothes, hence the photos.

I love the way this thread has split into one group who view 'types' in a certain uniform as walking adverts for twattery and tomfoolery at the football, and others who want to discuss fabric, cut and colour combinations :lolol:

This is how biodiversity primes the species to be robust against events. I remember my genetics lectures ???

To be fair it's a huge risk for anyone on either side to pile through by themselves and then get the gate shut behind them, that's a definite trip to hospital/nick or both plus the inevitable lifetime ban.

I'm not saying that makes it any less daft in the first place, but they probably all enjoyed themselves! "Let kick the door open" **door opens** "Shit, what do we do now!" :lolol:

Great to see casual clothes back in fashion. More people I see wearing Stone Island clothes the better. Will be treating myself in the January sales.
