I think Lloyd may have been in the Fulham team that lost the FA Cup Final in 1975.

The dull part of the south coast
I forgot to answer parts a) and c) which is obviously 12 and they all played for the same Grimsby Town team that demolished Manchester United 8-0 in the 1942 Cup Final. Scorers were Booker (4), Webb (2), Wilkins and Noel Blake (o.g.)

Noel Blake got sent off in the 2nd minute for head butting the linesman.

Didn't Case and Coppell play for Liverpool and Man Utd respectively in that 1977 final? United won 2-1 but Case scored an amazing over head kick from just outside the 18yrd box. I think.

Winning team is the question

Precisely, which is why I quoted the post with a question mark after "Case" as I don't think Case ever won an FaCup final, whereas Coppell did.

The dull part of the south coast
As it's FA Cup weekend coming up, and we're not involved (thank goodness or what a shame), here's something Albion for you to rack your brains :

a) How many of our wonderful club's managers have been in an FA Cup winning team?

b) Name them.

c) Which teams did they represent.

See if you can do this without looking up, googling etc. Good luck clever clogs! Answers later. :albion2:

Okay boys and girls thanks for the replies, some the answers were brilliantly wrong! Here are the correct ones :

a) 8

b & c) Don Welch - Charlton 1947

Pat Saward - Aston Villa 1957

Alan Mullery - Spurs 1967

Liam Brady - Arsenal 1979

Steve Coppell - Man.Utd 1977

Gus Poyet - Chelsea 2000

Sami Hyypia - Liverpool 2001

Chris Hughton - Spurs 1981 and 1982

Hang on a minute. Didn't Spurs with Hughton lose one of those finals to Coventry?
