Just seen this on another message board......

Those poor Palace fans

They have A and B grade games (the same as anyone else).

Next season if a non ST holder wants to go to an A grade game, the price will be £40 ( I believe a B grade game is around £30-£40). However, in order to buy an A grade ticket, they must also buy a B grade game ticket for £40 at the same time!

They have to shell out £80 to watch an A grade game.

:)

Has anybody suggested that to DK and MP selling the available 80 tickets would raise £6400 per A grade game that would be a bit more in the pot to squander on legal fees! At least it may save us losing MM to another club to obtain the compensation money

Another positive post from Ben's Grandad.

One day he is going to tell us all why he is so bitter and twisted about the Albion.

Don't hold your breath though

Isn't this standard practise in the Premiership? I know when Ned was still a Wednesday supporter and took me to Hillsborough, tickets were designated A & B games.

I'm not sure that there was a condition that you had to buy one of each as we only went to one or two games that were B listed anyway.

They're all Z rated now though...

Don't know about Standard practice Yorkie but Southampton certainly do it, with Gold, Silver and Bronze games. For some of the Gold games (Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea I think last season), they also made it a condition that if you wanted a ticket for that game, you also had to buy one for one of the so-called less attractive fixtures like Charlton (sorry Matt) or Fulham.

The irony is that the Charlton game was one of the best at St Marys last year

:clap2:

Up here, the only similar thing is with Old Firm games. Due to the amount of bigots (sorry, I meant to say 'Old Firm supporters') going into home ends, a lot of clubs have introduced a rule whereby you have to collect tokens from the previous one or two games in order to buy a ticket for an Old Firm game. The prices aren't different, but you do have to buy multiple tickets.

The Palace board basically knows they will only have one season up there, so they need to make as much money as possible out of it. Fundamentally, therefore, it shows their complete lack of confidence. Which is nice.

The same thing applied for the Wed games against the Blades. Tokens had to be collected from one A game and one B game to qualify (even in the 1st division)

Yorkie - are you and Ned looking forward to the Utd game? My Wednesday-supporting brother and I are - especially as it is the day after our birthday!

Yes, I know Ned has come over to the good side in recent years, but I assume that there is still some residual longing for Wednesday in his blood.

The hatred for all things connected with the Blades is still there and a good training ground for the Palace feelings.
With Neil Warnock still in charge it is easy to perpetuate those feelings :lolol:

His family are split right down the middle with his brother being an armchair Blade and nephew with his niece still being an Owl.

The older generation were all Millers.

Confused?

This should help Pemiership Chairmen looking for another angle to rip off their fans (with apologies to GolfBallsDirect):

Pearl Grade The best condition - the 'most like new' - Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea
Pearl-One Very good condition - Newcastle, Liverpool
Grade 1 Good condition - slight signs of play - Villa, Southampton, Middlesborough, Bolton
Grade 2 Fair condition - signs of play - Fulham, Birmingham, Spurs
Grade 3 Practice grade - Everton, Portsmouth, Man City
Grade 4 Low practice grade - Norwich
Grade 5 Low practice grade - West Brom
Grade 6 Lowest practice grade - Palace

This is because of all the Man U and Arse fans which will crawl out of the woodwork.

17000 season tickets plus 2200 away section means 7300 tickets available for true Palace fans - not the opposition.

If a Palace fan wants to see Man U he/she may also want to see Blackburn for example and so the tickets can be bought by all members for all games now.

You are all just jealous that we have more people to see us play anyway.

You'll never reach this level - even for 1 year.:clap2: :salute:

I am not bitter and twisted about the Albion they have been my love for the past 49 years.

What I do object to is being fed s..t by DK and MP when they say eg. Bobby Zamora will not be sold - we have tried our hardest to keep Steve Coppell here- when it is common knowledge that both had to go to pay the legal fees.

What is the latest estimate for the cost of Falmer? Do not quote Wembley two wrongas don't make a right.

Which company will build Falmer? Would it be Adenstar perhaps? Does any fan know?
