Football is, of course, a business, but an industry is “a sector that produces goods or related services”.

Did I say I was "up in arms"? I just think it's a shame that the game I love is now being referred to as an "industry".
I do think that life has moved on generally though. Whilst it is great to look back with rose tinted specs I doubt if people today would accept the standards that football gave 50 years ago.
