Inigo Calderon

I wrote him off in the autumn. He looked incapable of making the step up to the Championship. However he has been immense in the past couple of months since his return from injury and kept out a Premiership full back in Reyes. He looked the most motiavted of all of our players last night and scored through sheer determination.

It is almost like I wrote and posted that myself. I think I'm supposed to say 'This' now...

I thought we played really well in the second half. The Hophead was on form.

Generally sound return for Lewis Dunk
Watford lost 3-1 on bookings
Lots of Oles for Vicente may yet see him stay
Managed a seat on all my train journeys
We're still on course for a top 10 finish
I've almost obliterated West Ham from memory

It's funny how Calderon has played so well lately.

When we first came up, he had a few games where he was overrun by opposition wingers and looked way out of his depth. Then he was out of the team for a while. In recent weeks, he's been one of our only positive outlets, someone who looks like he could make something happen (Vicente & LuaLua being the others).

It may be that he hasn't faced any really decent wingers lately, but then again Kebe of Reading was supposedly highly rated and I thought he was anonymous, so perhaps Calderon is getting to grips with things. Still think he's prone to being outpaced at times, but you can't fault his desire, or his goalscoring efforts from full back. He really does seem to be one of us, he might be Spanish but he really is a Brighton boy these days.

1. This season. Despite the last few games, its been a fantastic experience.
2. The future. The stadium expansion, the academy & the start of next season. The future is bright.
3. The Harveys & Steak & Ale combination last night was Heaven. So much so, I was obliged to have another two Harveys just to confirm the fact. I showed restraint by only having one pie.
4. Vicente. Quite simply the most exciting & skillful player I have ever seen in an Albion Shirt.
5. The rain has stopped & it looks brighter on the horizon.

We are not going into administration.
We no longer compete for the Paint/Playdo trophy.
We now get to see us on TV, however occasionally.
We get to enjoy the summer transfer market with an eye to buy, rather than to sell.
We are known as a current mid-table club, looking forwards and upwards with real prospects of making the play-offs next year.
Rome wasn't built in a fking day ffs!

Yes, yes, all this positivity is lovely but last night I asked for a chicken & ham pie and was given a burger.

Frankly it ruined the season for me, and I have written to Tony Bloom to demand his resignation over this disgrace.

The direct debits will not go up.

Yes they will, they will be adding the £30 travel vouchers.

As the above is slightly negative, I will add;

Got served straightaway before the game and at half-time.
Nice Chicken Balti Pie (yes, I know I had a hot dog as well but I had no dinner).
The season has lasted right up until the last two games. Mid table mediocrity would have meant season finished weeks ago.
Vicente.
Jumped straight on the bus with no queue.
Vicente.

Edit: Incredible season spent supporting the Albion with my kids, home and away for the first time. Awesome.

Romain Vincelot once again showing he can fit in just fine. He's unlucky we've only been allowed 5 subs this year.
The crowd in the second half were magnificent.
Vicente acknowledging his song whilst warming up.
Barnes not getting sent off for his horror challenge.
The minutes applause for Jamie

Boring By Sea
Being able to take my daughter to watch
Being attacked by a seagull in Sussex University grounds and winning
Being able to go for a slash without the normal queue at half time ( not sure where everyone was)
Vincente
Gus getting animated. This is always entertaining.
Getting a point

My mate saying "right, I've seen the script, it's time for a goal now".... and then we scored the equalizer.
Absolute comedy play- hooray, boo, hooray, boo from both teams in a spell just before the penalty.
Getting £40 (£20 per game) from people who took my seats whilst I was on holiday for the last 2 weeks. I would have accepted less.
Finally getting confirmation that we cannot get promoted (or relegated) and will finish above Palace so can properly enjoy the last 2 games.

I actually loved it last night. Don't know what I am going to do with myself once the season ends.

Had bought a chicken and stuffing bagal from the Uni Co-op and was eating it on way to the ground when a huge seagull swooped down and tried to get the bagal. It missed but did manage to get my left thumb ( which still hurts now) this caused the bagal to drop to the ground at which point I shouted out rather loudly 'You absolute Fucker' which semmed to scare the bird off. Anyway- I did not fancy the bagal, now it had fallen apart on the ground, but was determined the seagull would not have it later so I found a bin for it and went back for another bagal. Unfortunatley the chicken ones had all gone so I had to make do with a breakfast one which is not so tasty. Those that were with me at the time enjoyed the show and looking back it was pretty funny.
