...in our office.
Can EGGS be considered a dairy product ? I've almost come to blows with a bloke in Sales Ledger, who INSISTS that eggs cannot be considered as dairy produce, as they don't come from cows. I say that dairy produce is not totally exclusive to milk and milk-related products, and that eggs can be considered to come under the same 'dairy umbrella'.

His vehemance is beginning to shake my confidence in this assertion though. So if I'm WRONG, and eggs are in fact not a dairy product, I could do with a few convincing lines of argument to try to swing the argument back my way, otherwise I shall have to resort to calling him a vagina, and leave early.

I therefore turn to the scribes of NSC. Are eggs a DAIRY product ?

Eggs and milk products are in some circumstances grouped together under the heading of dairy. As in the OCD.

Plus Chickens and Cows live together in harmony. Just like Ebony and Ivory - they are both wood aren't they?

A search on Google leads to the "Autism network for dietry intervention", that contains this statement:
------------------------------
Dietary FAQ:
Aren't eggs dairy?

Many years ago most of us were taught eggs and dairy were part of the same food pyramid under "dairy." However, they are not. Eggs are free of any dairy. Dairy can be from cows, sheep, and goats. Eggs are from chickens. Dairy and eggs happen to be side-by-side in the refridgerator section of the grocery store, which may add to the confusion.
--------------------------------

I reckon your only hope of winning the argument is to claim that cows lay eggs.

Apparantly, as long as the egg isnt damaged in any way, it is impossible to break it by placeing it in the palm of the hand and squeezing.

Please note I have not tried it though

No, they aren't dairy products, but if you want to win the arguement try using this, which I've just paraphrased from a website:

The word "dairy" is derived from an Olde Englishe word meaning "female bread baker" and also gave rise to the word "dough". Seeing as eggs are used to make bread, it is conceivable that eggs have as much relevance to dairy as butter does.

No.

Question his personal hygeine and conjecture that his mother is a prostitute.

A friend of mine made a deal with another friend.

"If I crack three eggs on your head, I will give you fifty pounds"

She eagerly accepted. He proceeded to break two eggs over her head and then called the deal off.

An eggcellent trick!

What sort of bread do you eat? The only bread that I know that uses eggs is cholla.
