Just a stunning day.

I suppose everybody else double checks the result to make sure we didn't bang in an equaliser that was edited out or was scored as we were on our way home ?

And everybody will be glued to the draw to see who we would have got if only..........we had scored just before they broke away and got their third.

One tiny little winge. What was with the old bill and their riot shields for christs sake. We're a town full of poofters, dont think i've ever seen that at a Brighton game. Lol.

You must be young, try Cardiff in 2001 for a start.

Great Fans, one of the best Stadiums i have been to, no hassle even though a lot of us could not help but go mad when we scored.( Politely reminded it was a home section though by the stewards) Friendly bunch all round. Great atmosphere from both sets of fans. Both side played attractive football, both managers a credit to their clubs and it COST what it should for a football match. £15 Top quality entertainment

I was sat in the 3rd row of doug ellis lower right next to the teenage villa chavs in the north stand lower. There was one villa kid must have been 16 who was getting on everyone's tits (our fans and theirs) chanting all sorts of obscene shit. There were a row of stewards and cops between us.

I was there with my 3 lads, and at point the chav stood up on his own and shouted "gay boy gay boy do you take it up the ar5e", and he just carried on and on. So I said to the steward right beside me "are you gonna let him get away with that?" and he shrugged his shoulders and said "oh, that's football mate".

I said to the steward "well it says in your programme that any racist or homophobic abuse and you'll be slung out". He just shrugged his shoulders, and at this point a copper came over thinking I was giving the steward some grief. He asked me what my problem was, and I said "I haven't got a problem, but in your match programme it says any racist or homophobic abuse and you'll be slung out, so why is he allowed to get away with it when it's obvious it's him?"

The copper said "that's a fair point, sir" went and collared him and slung him out!

And from that point on the bunch of chavs were silent!!!!!!

Other than those scummy chavs, I agree with the views on here, Villa are a good bunch.

just very plsd that you all enjoyed the day, by and large villa park and fans are a good, apart from when the unwashed from small heath come visiting,lol, it was good that the police took action against the pratt who thought he was big with his mindless chants, playin up to his mates i suspect the bloody idiot, look forward to one day visiting brighton either at the withdean or falmer, in my humble opinion you are top supporters, with a club and team to be proud of, respect to you all, and really do wish you all the best for the future, you never know, may one day play you on a regular basis,:thumbsup:

. No, not young metally about 16 though. Yeah i was at Cardiff and the games in the other post, but although remember the trouble with the home fan now you mention it including kids being beaten up, but cant remember the riot shields. Perhaps my 62 year old brain is going senile.

My son and I had a great day. Agree with all the positive comments on here, everyone was very friendly, O'Neill is a top Manager and showed us enough respect to take us seriously. Thought apart from one or two mistakes our team did themselves credit too, and hopefully they will take confidence from this game.

thanks Andy for your pre match advice etc; good time in Ruxton hall; worst bit was Milner coming on as a sub so early; spent the next 80 minutes admiring his quality;

thought you were comfortably in 3rd gear after second goal and the speed you turned defence into attack showed the difference in class.
